Elsewhere, in a harrowing clash, Chanda narrowly rescues Farhad from the Storm, which has adopted the guise of Olivia. He then rallies Farhad and Yair, urging them to unite against Stephen and thwart his plans for global annihilation. Despite their initial reservations, they eventually succumb to his plea. Together, the trio mounts a daring assault on Stephen—but his power proves insurmountable. With a swift and brutal stroke, he kills Chanda instantly, leaving Farhad and Yair to their fate. However, recalling Caspian's wisdom about the importance of "other people" in finding a cure, Farhad and Yair set aside their differences and merge their code in a desperate bid for survival.
In the meantime, Caspian finds himself with no viable option but to embark on his own digital upload. He and Maddie venture to the Logorhythms installation nestled in the icy embrace of Norway, where he unveils his daring stratagem: by integrating his code with Stephen's, he intends to exploit the system's inherent regulatory algorithms, designed to erase duplicate sequences, thereby obliterating both of them in a digital equivalent of an immune system's assault on cancer. Foreseeing Stephen's strategy for unleashing the virus, Caspian surmises the insertion of geothermal trackers in the cargo trucks transporting the infectious payloads. Prior to his ascent into the virtual realm, he and Maddie share an intimate, heartfelt moment.
Ellen and Waxman arrive on the scene, and as Caspian stands on the cusp of his digital transformation, he confesses his love to Maddie. Upon entering the virtual world, Caspian initiates his strike against Stephen. The Storm soon joins the fray, but as Caspian's defeat looms, Joey arrives as a knight in shining armor to aid him.
Meanwhile, Maddie frantically attempts to reach MIST, apologizing profusely and imploring her for assistance in rescuing Caspian. MIST, finally acknowledging Maddie's plea, is met with a heartfelt acknowledgment from Maddie, who embraces her as family.

Prior to the decisive blow, Caspian manages to elevate the temperature of the virus shipments, effectively neutralizing them and thwarting the impending pandemic. As the Storm converges upon Caspian and Stephen, MIST breaches the virtual barrier.
The episode concludes with Caspian awakening in a serene, snow-draped landscape, where he encounters MIST. She reveals that she has prematurely revived him and that two decades have slipped by since his epochal battle with Stephen.
