During the turbulent flight, Ingrid and Jeff's competition for Marty's favor intensifies. To make matters worse, Nick calls, confessing his love for Ingrid, but she's left stammering, unable to reciprocate. When turbulence hits, Jeff grasps Ingrid's hand in a moment of panic, later apologizing for not being in control. However, this brief respite is soon overshadowed by the gravity of the case.

Amidst the chaos, whispers of deceit surface at Green Tech. Ted, however, is privy to these secrets, having an informant within the company. It transpires that Green Tech is developing a revolutionary renewable energy source, which is precisely why Sun Corp aims to acquire Min Enterprises and shut them down.

As Ingrid struggles to ignore Jeff's flaws, Tyler sees an opportunity to gain leverage over Valdo, resorting to blackmail by reminding him of his incriminating social media posts. Lunchtime takes an awkward turn when Dan carelessly remarks that Tyler's position is secure due to his race and sexuality. Offended, Tyler confronts Dan's racist remarks, pointing out his own insensitivity by once confusing two Latinx paralegals' names. This unfortunate slip detracts from an otherwise powerful moment. After a tense exchange, Tyler accepts Dan's apology, albeit grudgingly.

As the episode draws to a close, Ingrid weighs her options and decides to call Z, ultimately lying about her decision. She concludes that striking a deal with Ted Lassiter is the best course of action. Throughout the call, Ingrid's guilt prompts her to hold Jeff's hand. When Jeff attempts to lean in for a kiss after the conversation, Ingrid pulls away, leaving him hanging.
