Episode 7 of "Peacemaker" delves deep into the protagonist's past, painting a vivid picture of Chris and his brother Keith in their shared room, immersed in the rhythmic beats of rock music. As Auggie places bets with gleeful anticipation, he eggs them on to engage in a ruthless, unrestricted brawl. With a powerful punch that lands squarely on Keith's cheek, Chris sends his brother reeling to the ground, where he convulses and spasms, foam flecking at his lips. Auggie, horrified, leaps into action, realizing with a chilling clarity that Chris has inadvertently killed his brother. This harrowing moment appears to be the genesis of their father's bitter disdain towards Chris, and as Peacemaker recalls this poignant tragedy from his youth, he wrestles with the urge to shed tears, his emotions threatening to overtake him.
Vigilante snaps him out of his reverie, and together they gather their equipment, steeling themselves for the pursuit of Locke. Economos joins them, piloting their vehicle towards their intended destination. Yet, they are not alone in this venture; White Dragon and his fanatical followers are hot on their trail. With a thunderous crash, White Dragon slams into the side of their truck, sending it careening to the ground. Despite this setback, Peacemaker and his companions manage to wriggle free and escape, though their pursuers' relentless tracking ensures that they cannot tarry long before regrouping.
Peacemaker soon discovers a tracking device embedded within his helmet, prompting him to jettison it, thereby losing White Dragon in the labyrinthine web of streets. Meanwhile, in their absence, Emilia confronts Leota about the planted diary, revealing a twist in the tale – Leota had lost her previous job and Waller had offered her this position as a lifeline. In an unexpected revelation, Waller is unmasked as Leota's mother, a truth that Murn was already privy to. He urges the two women to cease their squabbling and focus on the task at hand, gearing up for the impending challenges. With their Butterfly brains interconnected and Locke now compromised, the entire operation teeters on the edge of disaster.
Elsewhere, Judo Master emerges victorious from his restraints, having recovered from his chest wound with remarkable resilience. Bandaged and battle-worn, he stands at a convenience store, munching on chips with a nonchalant air. Dispatching a couple of thugs with ease and stealing a car, he speeds away into the night, his future as uncertain as the fate of the operation that he once served.
Back at their apartment, Emilia and Leota narrowly escape the police, who arrive just in time to discover Murn, whom they promptly dispatch, along with the Butterfly entity within him. Left to their own devices to see their mission through, they are abruptly interrupted by the Judo Master's unexpected entrance, sparking a fierce confrontation between him and Emilia. In the midst of the battle, he momentarily neglects Leota, who seizes the opportunity to incapacitate him with a taser.
Elsewhere, Peacemaker and Economos track down Vigilante, who is found unconscious in his vehicle. Their discovery is complicated by Vigilante's unauthorized borrowing of all Peacemaker's helmets from Auggie's residence, a move that inadvertently draws White Dragon's attention back to him. Auggie, having already felled Eagley, turns his focus to Peacemaker, knocking him to the ground and preparing to eliminate his own flesh and blood. However, Economos intervenes with a machine gun, mowing down the surrounding fanatics. Vigilante leaps into action against Auggie, causing his suit to short-circuit.
Amidst this chaos, Peacemaker's emotions boil over as he confronts his father, raining punches down upon him while lambasting him for his years of hostility. Provoked further by Auggie's antagonism, Peacemaker grabs a firearm and, in a moment charged with raw emotion, shoots his dad in the head. The gravity of the scene is momentarily undercut by Vigilante's timed joke.
Worried for Eagley's fate, Peacemaker turns to prayer, beseeching the Lord to spare his beloved pet, whom he sees as the only one who truly understands him. Meanwhile, Leota, peering through the window, beholds Eagley's miraculous revival with awe. This vision strikes her as a divine sign, solidifying her resolve to see the Cow plot through to its conclusion rather than retreating to the safety of her home.
With Emilia now at the helm, she addresses her makeshift team, warning them that the task ahead will be anything but trivial. As Goff and his cronies gather their forces at the Ranch, Emilia and her eclectic band of misfits unite, steeling themselves for the climactic showdown.
Switching to Goff and his allies, we catch a harrowing glimpse of the Cow—a monstrosity beyond our wildest nightmares, with six eyes and bulging udders. From this beast, amber is extracted in a clandestine underground operation.
