Peacemaker – Season 2 Episode 3 1

Returning to the present, Keith rouses Chris from his slumber in the alternate dimension. Initially disoriented, Chris quickly grasps the situation and recalls the urgent message he had sent to Harcourt, prompting him to seek her out for a crucial conversation. However, he finds himself utterly clueless about the intricacies of this new reality.

Curious and desperate for information, Chris quizzes Keith about Harcourt's occupation and how to reach her. Keith, though puzzled by the sudden interrogation, obliges and informs him that she works for A.R.G.U.S.

In a delightful twist of fate, Peacemaker discovers that he possesses his very own thematic motorcycle, the Peace-cycle. Upon laying eyes on this ludicrous yet endearing vehicle, it's love at first sight for him. He gleefully zooms down the street, basking in the adoration of the entire city.

Meanwhile, Lee stirs from a drunken stupor and inquires about Harcourt and Chris to the normal Harcourt. She, however, remains tight-lipped and unwilling to engage in the conversation. To exacerbate matters, Adrian barges in, peppering them with tiresome animal trivia.

Seeking solace, they relocate to continue their discussion. Lee extols Peacemaker's virtues and questions Harcourt's reluctance to pursue a relationship with him. Despite acknowledging his love for her and admitting that she is aware of it, Harcourt remains steadfast in her refusal, offering no explanation.

However, in the alternate dimension, Peacemaker is determined to alter the course of events. Alas, he encounters yet another unforeseen obstacle: Rick Flag, Harcourt's latest beau.

Thankfully, far from being a menace, he's more of a comical oddity in that setting. So, when Harcourt and Chris venture out for a chat, he simply gapes at them, stumbling around the vicinity in a clumsy attempt at stealth, convinced he's blending into the shadows undetected. Yet, a new peril is silently creeping up on him: A.R.G.U.S. from his own universe. Bordeaux frantically contacts Economus, inquiring about Eagly and insisting that he spring into action immediately. She's presently stationed at the hospital alongside Fleury and several of his injured comrades.

Meanwhile, Peacemaker is reveling in every moment spent with Harcourt. With each passing second, he grows more certain of his profound affection for her. As they settle down, Harcourt presses him on the reason for their meeting. The Chris from her world had already inflicted considerable pain upon her, and she's not eager to relive that ordeal. However, he catches her off guard by revealing his transformation and baring his soul in a moment of raw vulnerability. Fortuitously, he bears little resemblance to the Peacemaker from her reality.

Harcourt concedes that if his metamorphosis is genuine and he affords her the space to contemplate, there might still be a glimmer of hope for their relationship. But their intimate conversation is abruptly cut short when a wave of panic washes over the nearby crowd. Suddenly, one of the onlookers detonates, the explosion catapulting Chris and Harcourt through the air with tremendous force.

A faction known as the Sons of Liberty has launched an assault on a nearby DMV, strategically placing bombs with the potential to obliterate the entire block. Despite being sans his superhero attire, Chris's mind races with a plan to rescue the hostages and neutralize the explosives.

He strides into a pet shop adjacent to the DMV, ascends to its rooftop, and, with a dramatic leap, smashes through a window to infiltrate the building. What follows is nothing short of a bloodbath. The Sons of Liberty, dispatched to investigate the commotion, find themselves utterly outmatched against Peacemaker. Even when they band together to confront him, he dispatches them with chilling efficiency, his every move a testament to his lethal prowess.

Once the carnage has subsided, Peacemaker is faced with a new dilemma: stopping the bombs. Unsure of how to proceed, he randomly disconnects a few cables, and miraculously, it works. Above the building, a helicopter hovers, poised to whisk the Sons of Liberty to safety. But their mission is a failure, and their fate is far from kind. Keith, clad in his suit, blasts the helicopter out of the sky, causing it to crash and erupt in flames.

As Peacemaker exits the building, Harcourt envelops him in a warm embrace, and onlookers applaud his heroic deeds. With each passing second, he finds himself falling deeper in love with this alternate dimension. Yet, back in his home reality, dark clouds loom. Bordeaux has assembled an even more formidable team to invade his home, and she's even enlisted a professional eagle hunter to take down Eagly. Economos, though opposed to the plan, fears losing his job and remains loyal to her cause.

To add insult to injury, Economos is paired with a new, dreadful partner: Rip Jagger, the Judomaster, a foe his friends had clashed with in the first season. As a team prepares to storm Peacemaker's house, he is still basking in the glow of his extraordinary day. Harcourt tells him it was a remarkable day and expresses her joy over their heartfelt conversation, while his brother declares his love for him.

Chris departs the alternate dimension with a broad smile, clearly intent on returning soon. As he opens the door to his house, he is blissfully unaware of the chaos that awaits him on the other side.
