Peacemaker – Season 2 Episode 6 1

Back in their own dimension, Peacemaker's tight-knit crew makes their way to Adrian's place, aiming to construct a new Quantum Unfolding Chamber. Upon arrival, they're met with the revelation that Adrian has been spinning a web of lies to his mother, from dismissing Enormous as a nerd to claiming Harcourt as his girlfriend.

His so-called "office" is a veritable treasure trove of illicit substances, which he consumes after busting drug rings. He's convinced that corrupt cops will either peddle or partake in the drugs if left in their hands, so he hoards them instead. The room is also brimming with cash, tainted money he refuses to touch, deeming it blood money. His friends, however, are less scrupulous and help themselves to a share of the loot when Adrian's back is turned.

They then select a door, and Ads springs into action, activating the device behind it. It functions precisely as intended, but unleashes a surge of energy so potent that it sends the drugs hurtling towards the group. Before they know it, they're covered head to toe in cocaine.

Meanwhile, Fleury breaks the news to Rick Flag that Harcourt and Economos have vanished without a trace. With no other leads to track down Peacemaker, he reaches out to Belle Reve, eager to confer with an inmate.

Little does he know, Harcourt and her companions are on the cusp of venturing into the alternate dimension. Adrian, armed with the password to Peacemaker's portal, facilitates their easy entry.

They barely have a moment to ponder their next move before Keith spots Harcourt the second she steps through. Fortunately, he doesn't notice the rest of the group. Nevertheless, he questions her presence there, given that he believed she and his brother were en route to A.R.G.U.S.

Harcourt concocts an excuse on the fly and tags along with him to A.R.G.U.S. headquarters. Meanwhile, Chris is cozily nestled in bed with that dimension's version of Harcourt. As she still needs to shower and get herself presentable, she instructs him to head over to A.R.G.U.S. ahead of her. That might seem like a stroke of luck for the "original" Harcourt, but her fortunes take a sudden nosedive as soon as she steps foot in the place. Due to the cocaine packages that had explosively burst all over her and her companions, a drug-sniffing dog picks up the scent on her. As a result, some guards promptly take her away for interrogation.

Just as she's about to be led off, Chris arrives at A.R.G.U.S. as well. He doesn't intervene, but instantly recognizes her. Meanwhile, Adrian is off on his own quest: tracking down his alternate self from that universe. He steps into his house and can't help but chuckle at everything he lays eyes on, marveling at how vastly different it all is. When he enters his secret room, he finds the other Vigilante already hard at work. Fortunately for him, his counterpart in this universe is just as much of a goofball. So, the two of them end up laughing and cracking jokes, even referencing the classic Spider-Man pointing meme.

Surprisingly, Flag pays a visit to Belle Reve Penitentiary to have a chat with Lex Luthor. He offers him a shot at redemption, promising to transfer him to a prison devoid of metahumans if he plays ball. In exchange, Lex agrees and hands over a sensor that will aid in locating the Quantum Unfolding Chamber.

Back in the other dimension, Chris manages to snag a private moment with Harcourt. She confides in him that her only option at the time was to knock him out, or else Bordeaux would have taken a shot at him. It pains her deeply that he would ever suspect her of having malicious intentions towards him.

Then, the moment of truth finally arrives as they share a heartfelt, intimate conversation. Harcourt realizes he is deeply in love with her and desperately needs to know if her feelings mirror his own. Overwhelmed, she begins to cry and admits that she is a complete wreck, unable to handle her emotions. Despite this, Harcourt bravely declares his love for her. Yet, even with their emotions laid bare, their desires remain misaligned. Harcourt yearns for Chris to return, but he also wishes to stay in this alternate reality. After all, he has his father, his brother, and even someone who loves him here. Furious with his indecision, she storms out of the room.

On a lighter note, Adrian and his alternate counterpart find themselves engaging in a self-reflective dialogue, almost as if they are taking a personality quiz. To their amusement, they discover that all their answers are identical—until the topic shifts to Peacemaker. The alternate Adrian harbors a deep-seated hatred for Chris, viewing him as his archenemy. He stands in staunch opposition to everything Peacemaker represents, and this rivalry even spurred him to join the Sons of Liberty.

Meanwhile, Ads decides to take a solitary stroll around the block, feeling restless with nothing else to do. Economos, however, prefers to remain indoors, eager to find a way back to their universe as quickly as possible. So, Ads sets out alone, and that’s when everything begins to spiral out of control for everyone.

As Peacemaker wanders through the A.R.G.U.S. office, Harcourt points out the eerie absence of people of color since their arrival in this new dimension. To his shock, he glances at a small American flag on a desk and notices that, instead of stars, it bears a swastika. Harcourt mocks his naivety for believing this could be a perfect reality. Just then, the female counterpart from this universe arrives. Without hesitation, she summons the guards and claims that the woman accompanying Peacemaker is not present.

Back at Chris’s house, Economos finds himself in a precarious situation with Auggie. Despite his attempts to hide, Auggie spots him and stabs his hand with a knife. He then spills all their secrets, revealing that they are from an alternate dimension and that the Peacemaker here is a fraud.

To make matters worse, Ads is also having a terrible day. Everyone on the street, including Keith, looks at her with disgust and attempts to capture her. Now, her only option is to flee as fast as her legs can carry her.
