They race over to Sasha's apartment, where Bea warns Sasha and tells him they need to leave.

Ponies – Season 1 Episode 8 1

As they drive to safety, Chris' whispered words echo in Sasha's mind. He met Chris when he started working at the CIA, and brings up their encounter in the bar. It turns out he whispered: "You can trust me, I knew your sister." They eventually drive to a secluded cabin that has a secure line for extraction. Interestingly, Twila finds a stash of boxes that happen to sport the same shampoo that she stole from Andrei's wife. These are where the tapes are being stored, and the ones in this cabin in particular have evidence of all the women that were killed. So why is it being kept here?

Bea realizes with horror that this isn't actually Aksana's dacha... it's Andrei's. After stacking up the boxes of shampoo, they prepare to leave. On their way out the door, the trio is attacked by a couple of assassins who show up and launch an attack. Sasha is stabbed, one of the men is killed with the cyanide pill, while the female assassin gets stabbed in the face. The two women race off, with the boxes of shampoo in the trunk.

Andrei arrives and tries to run them off the road. However, thanks to some smart driving, the outcome sees Andrei's car flip several times. Twila doesn't leave but instead decides to go check the wreckage to make sure he's dead. As they do, soldiers arrive - led by Sergeant Davis Carter from the US Marines. They're here to extract Sasha. After letting him go, the two girls drive off together, with Andrei trapped in the trunk.

The duo, fueled by determination, drag Andrei, along with the shampoo, all the way to the Bubble, intending to interrogate him. Their goal is to use him as a puppet to extract information about their husbands. However, Andrei throws a wrench in their plans by questioning whether Vera might have been mistaken and suspected the wrong husband as a mole. He promises to reveal what he knows...but first, he craves a cigarette.

Flashbacks to Belarus in 1922 illuminate the strong bonds between Manya and her friend, Sofia. These bonds remain unbroken in the present, as Bea's grandmother surprises her with a long-awaited reunion. Manya is paranoid and believes she's being followed. Her instincts are correct, but the man she thinks is tailing her isn't Russian. Instead, he's working with Dane and Emile for the CIA. They've heard rumors of a spy in the village and are trying to uncover the truth.

After Manya says goodbye to Sofia, Dane arrives and they discuss her situation. They take her to a safe house where Chris is waiting for her. To her surprise, he's still alive!

Meanwhile, Cheryl is distraught as Eevi needs medical attention after being shot. Ray learns of this at the concert through the paramedics' report. He rushes to Cheryl's side and apologizes for putting her in danger. He promises to listen and do whatever it takes to make things right with her.

Cheryl visits Eevi in her room, knowing she's a spy. She tampers with her IV and eventually kills her, eliminating any complications.

However, we flash back one week ago in the Embassy tunnels. Cheryl meets with Chris, confirming that she's a double agent. She navigates through the secret tunnels, covering her tracks and sporting a detonator. This same detonator we saw earlier is left to blow and burn the evidence at the Embassy.

In the realm of mind-bending twists, Andrei unveils to Twila and Bea that Galyna Shevchenko, Sasha's sister, was actually assassinated by the CIA. She was a KGB agent all along, and now it makes sense why Emile wrapped up that knife so meticulously in previous episodes. Initially, they did this to coerce Sasha into working for the Americans and betraying his own country. However, their interrogation is abruptly halted when Cheryl's detonator goes off, engulfing the Embassy in flames. As the flames rise, it becomes clear that this was all part of the KGB's master-plan, as he emerges from the burning Bubble with a sinister smirk on his face.

Agents swarm in and gather all the evidence they can find, holding the two women at gunpoint. The tension is palpable as the situation escalates, leaving the women reeling from the revelation and the sudden chaos that surrounds them.
