Steven insists that drastic changes are imperative for the team's survival. He points out Dyson's underperformance and the dwindling morale, exacerbated by Marcus's failure to step up as a leader. Sandy and Ness propose trading Marcus, but Isla swiftly dismisses the idea. Meanwhile, Jackie begins to garner attention as a Gordon.

Isla is in a race against time to revitalize the team. She seeks Jay's insights on Dyson's issues and discovers that Dyson's problems stem from a psychological block. He excels during the game but falters in the final quarter when opposing teams target him, knowing he'll take all the free throws.

Elsewhere, Jackie strikes up a rapport with the dance captain and invites her out for dinner. Their connection is instant, and they share a heartwarming anecdote about Jackie and his mother frequenting a family diner in Mexico owned by the dance captain's grandmother. However, just as Jackie drops her off, he's seduced by another invitation—a girl invites him to her house, and he accepts.

Isla takes bold action by hiring a free throw coach for Dyson—an elderly woman from the Indian Women's National team. Dyson initially scorns her due to her age but soon realizes her prowess. However, Isla's woes multiply when a renowned basketball broadcaster announces plans to trade Marcus, prompting Isla to suspect a leak within her circle.

Marcus's agent lays into Isla, and Marcus himself takes the news poorly, straining their relationship. Isla suspects Ness and Sandy of being the leak since they were the ones who initially suggested trading Marcus. A playful yet tense paintball confrontation confirms their innocence, but it does little to alleviate the dire situation.

Meanwhile, Dyson is honing his free throw skills, although adopting an unorthodox underhand technique that he finds particularly cringe-worthy, largely due to the unkind ridicule of his teammates. Isla's quest to uncover the leak persists, reaching a stalemate as her internal investigations yield no concrete results. Determined, she decides to confront Sean Murphy, the perceived fountainhead of the rumors. In parallel, Marcus persists in his protest, drillsteadfastly refuses to engage in team.

However, a twist unfolds as Isla discovers that Ness and Sandy remain loyal, prompting heartfelt apologies from her. The siblings, though amused by the turn of events, playfully retaliate by dousing her with paint guns, restoring their bond amidst laughter.

Returning to the game's arena, Marcus experiences a change of heart upon witnessing Sean Murphy's circulation of the confrontation video featuring Isla. During the game, Marcus deliberately executes an underhanded free throw, sending a message to Dyson that there's no shame in such a strategy. Isla's fortunes rise as the Waves secure their maiden victory since her tenure, earning widespread admiration, even from Steven.

A stunning revelation at the episode's climax uncovers Cam as the elusive leak, setting the stage for further drama to unfold.
