In Episode 3 of "School Spirits," the ghosts and Simon discuss whether they should venture into the mysterious hole. While Simon is eager for exploration, Wally and the rest are hesitant to trust Martin's words. Maddie reminds Simon that he can't go into the hole because, technically, he's alive. She asks for time to speak with the hospital ghosts to better comprehend their situation. She returns home to find Sandra packing, ready to leave town for Maddie's safety. Sandra's concern intensifies when Maddie lies about the fake blood on her clothes. Maddie refuses to leave.

As she heads to her room, she sees a message from Simon's dad on his tablet and quickly responds. The next day at school, Nicole and Claire inform Maddie that Livia saw her (Janet) at the college party. Nicole is convinced that Livia knows more, and Claire is helping her infiltrate the cheerleaders' group. The two assure Maddie that they're handling the situation and she should focus on Simon.
Meanwhile, Xavier reports that the hospital ghosts have found Maddie's dad. He's already arranged a meeting for Maddie and her dad to talk after class later that day. As they head to class, Principal Hartman calls them aside and informs them that they'll be in detention the next day and won't be joining the rest of the class for the seniors' trip. Before leaving, Maddie asks Hartman if he talked to her mom, but he clarifies that he didn't.
The scene is filled with tension and anticipation as each character grapples with their own fears and motivations. The dialogue is crisp and direct, adding depth to the story and making the situation feel all the more real. The characters' interactions and decisions create a sense of urgency and drive the plot forward, keeping the audience engaged and invested in what happens next.
Elsewhere, Yuri opens up to Charley about how, before his untimely passing, he had imbibed someone with life. Actually, he met his demise amidst a panic attack, wondering what to do if the girl, Julie, wanted to keep the baby. Instead of being a compassionate ear and supportive companion, Charley's mind is clouded by Yuri's sexual history. Once again, he makes it all about himself! Meanwhile, Quinn struggles to come to terms with the truth about the accident. Rhonda suggests helping them take a yearbook picture. In the dining hall, Claire encourages Nicole to spread gossip about her and Maddie among the Livia group. The plan works, and Livia invites Nicole to a party at her place later. At the same time, Simon realizes that Sandy is in a state of panic and wants to withdraw Maddie from school. Outside, Wally engages in a conversation with Martin to see if he's keeping more things to himself. Martin insists that he's done with secrets and only hopes to figure out what's happening at the school and help Simon.
At the hospital, Xavier meets Dave for the first time and mentally prepares him for what to expect with Maddie. Dave worries that he might let Maddie down, but Xavier reassures him. At school, Wally makes a pros and cons list on the hole exploration and offers to go on Simon's behalf. In the meantime, Quinn and Rhonda try to pick out the perfect outfit for the yearbook photo.
Back to our boys, Wally and Simon go on the hole exploration. Just as Martin said, Wally discovers a vast expanse of water, and something grabs and pulls him in. The next thing he knows, he's waking up at the library. The cleaner, Mr. South, sees him and trips from his ladder. Rhonda and Quinn, who were also at the library, are furious that the boys were exploring the hole.
Wally and Simon firmly asserted to the others that Martin's account of the events in the hole was not a lie. However, the others were apprehensive about Mr. South's near-death experience after witnessing Wally's ghostly presence. Quinn and Rhonda grabbed the watch to deter Simon from further exploration that might lead to more fatalities.
At the hospital, Xavier assisted Maddie in her conversation with her dad. She requested his help to uncover more about the hole and the veil lifting, an emotional experience for Maddie. She thanked Xavier for making it possible. As they talked, Sandra unexpectedly appeared, furious that Maddie was running late. She insisted they head home immediately.
Meanwhile, Claire helped Nicole prepare for Livia's party, warning her not to mention a boy named Jason. Diego spotted the girls and tried to explain what had been happening. At the party, Livia and her girlfriends sought more information about Maddie's situation from Nicole. Nicole, trying to change the subject, lied that she had a crush on Jason.
Back at school, Simon convinced Wally that they needed to try exploring the hole again. This time, Simon insisted on going alone and got ropes in case of danger. Quinn and Rhonda overheard their conversation and realized that Simon might blame them if he stayed in the ghost world any longer. They returned the watch to him and reminded him that they too didn't deserve to be there, but they wouldn't stand in his way.
After causing a scene with Livia, a drunk Nicole called Claire and Diego, asking them to call an Uber and leave the party. Nicole accidentally entered Livia's mom's office and realized that Livia's mom had cameras everywhere, watching them. She headed to Maddie's house to tell her about the discovery. It turned out that Livia's mom wanted to build a fancy high-rise once they closed down the school. Unfortunately, Nicole got sick just as Sandra came out to see what was going on.
Back at school, Quinn forgave Martin and decided they wanted to take a picture in their uniforms. They told Rhonda that they were done hiding and ready to accept themselves. Rhonda opened up about her struggles and how she found a place that helped her find herself. She understood Quinn and was supportive. They took a picture, but it came out blank since they were ghosts.
At Maddie's residence, she confronts Sandra for sneaking on her and lying about her drinking. She calls her out for the pain she caused in the boiler room. Afterwards, Diego stops by to pick up Nicole. Sandra packs her bags and informs Maddie that she is going to a treatment center. She apologizes.
Meanwhile, Charley apologizes to Yuri for his reaction after finding out about Julie. Yuri admits that he hasn't gotten over his scar. He's not ready, but Charley shames him again for not going. They argue once more, and Yuri walks away.
Back at school, Wally and Simon continue exploring the hole. This time, Simon is cautious not to get pulled into the water. He manages to walk further into the room. Suddenly, the rope snaps, and his torch goes out. He looks up, and a gust of wind clouds his vision. He then spots a hooded figure staring at him from across the room.
With this revision, the scene is made more vivid and engaging, while maintaining the original meaning and key details. The dialogue and actions are described in a more expressive manner to bring the story to life.
