The revelation drops like a bombshell: Amelia is indeed Sherlock's daughter. Flashing back further, Lucia had pledged to pen a letter to Sherlock the very next day. However, by then, Sherlock's realization dawned – Lucia had already embarked on her journey to America. Burdened with the secret of her pregnancy, she had chosen exile over staying and potentially tarnishing Holmes's esteemed career. Thus, Amelia's true lineage is unveiled.

Present-day, Holmes confides in Amelia, sharing his intention to propose to Lucia before her abrupt departure. Amelia, inquisitive, wonders why he's disclosing this now. Holmes responds poignantly, desiring that she be equipped with all the facts before confronting the impending dangers of the night. Amelia agrees to delve into this later, turning her focus towards preparing for her exit. defiance.

Meanwhile, Chief Inspector Whitlock is in the midst of packing when Detective Swann storms into his abode, a recording of Whitlock's incriminating phone call with Lady Violet blasting through the air. Swann and Holmes confront Whitlock, unmasking his clandestine activities as an agent of The Red Thread. Whitlock, defiant, brushes aside Dan Moriarty's involvement, boldly asserting that he himself is the Red Thread.

The tension mounts as Whitlock menaces Amelia. In a swift, decisive move, Holmes fells him with a single, powerful punch. Detective Swann swiftly steps in, securing Whitlock with handcuffs, bringing an end to his reign of terror – at least temporarily.

At Clara's grand ball, an exuberant throng of guests, including the esteemed Prime Minister, filled the room as Lady Violet and her family extended their warmest welcomes. As the music began to play, setting the stage for an evening of elegance and revelry, Amelia noticed Lady Violet slipping away discreetly. Intrigued, Amelia followed her footsteps until she stumbled upon a secluded chamber where she unexpectedly encountered Dan. He seized the moment to waltz her into a conversation about forging a better world together, only to have Amelia shoot back that his true intentions were to seize the world for himself. Unconvinced, she departed in search of Lady Violet once more.

Just then, Holmes made his entrance at the ball, his demeanor grave as he whispered a dire warning to Inspector Bullivant – the Prime Minister was in grave danger and should depart immediately. Clara, concern etched on her face, revealed to Holmes that Lady Violet had entrusted her with the task of orchestrating a clandestine meeting with the Turkish ambassador near the stables through her dance movements.

Determined to uncover the truth, Amelia tracked Lady Violet down to the stables, where she found her in league with Lucia's designs, plotting something sinister. Drawing Sherlock's gun, Amelia confronted her, but Lady Violet, quicker on her feet, disarmed her with ease and held the weapon aloft. With a sinister gleam in her eye, she unveiled her ambitious war schemes and brazenly declared herself as the Red Thread.

In a dramatic twist, as Lady Violet pulled the trigger, the gun, cleverly sabotaged by Amelia with Holmes' handkerchief, erupted in a fiery blast that singed her face. Amelia had also devised a clever trap, tying Lady Violet's scarf to the underside of a carriage. When the horses, startled by the commotion, bolted in panic, the carriage, dragging Lady Violet along, met its grim fate, leading to her untimely demise.

How Amelia thwarts Dan unfolds with an intriguing twist. Prior to this, Holmes had received a missive from Professor Moriarty, revealing that his son was entwined in the ominous web of the Red Thread. As Holmes recounts the bewildering hierarchy within the Red Thread to Amelia, a critical realization dawns upon him – the Prime Minister remains within the confines of the premises.

In a rush of urgency, Holmes darts back indoors, only to find the Prime Minister delivering an address when suddenly, a shot shatters the glass in his hand. With swift precision, Holmes fires back, felling the assailant who, to their astonishment, transpires to be an accomplice of Dan's. Amelia recognizes him instantly from the meeting Dan had orchestrated for her. Clutched in his hand is a flag bearing the insignia of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, poised to be the incendiary evidence that could ignite a worldwide conflict – but Holmes, ever vigilant, swiftly conceals it.

A flicker of understanding crosses Amelia's mind; Dan is at the helm of this treacherous plot. With determination burning in her heart, she bolts to confront him. Retracing her steps to the chamber where she last encountered Dan, she discovers a hidden passage entrance, shrouded in secrecy. As Dan steps into the room, Amelia enacts a clever ruse, ensnaring him in her trap and sealing him within the confined walls of the passage.

Why did the Red Thread covet the ambassador's keys? Meanwhile, Bertie seized the jewels from Holmes and promptly returned them to the American ambassador, who, though reluctantly, conceded to handing back the bribe money. Holmes then confronted the ambassador, accusing him of allowing the jewels to be stolen in exchange for a lucrative bribe. Furthermore, he unveiled that Clara had been kidnapped solely to procure the keys to the balcony, from whence the assassin had attempted to shoot the Prime Minister. The ambassador claimed he harbored no desire for war, unlike others. Instead, he envisioned allowing the European powers to decimate one another, ultimately positioning the United States as the paramount force. Holmes, unable to substantiate his allegations, resorted to threatening to unleash Dr. Watson's renowned storytelling prowess to expose Clara's checkered past. In turn, the ambassador concurred not to reveal Amelia's identity, whom he was privy to being Holmes's daughter.

How does Season 1 of "Sherlock & Daughter" conclude? Some time thereafter, Watson wrapped up his narrative, titled "The Case of the Red Thread." Holmes dispatched the manuscript, as a precaution, with Mrs. Halligan, who departed now that Mrs. Hudson had returned. They all were cognizant of Amelia's true parentage but had collectively resolved to shroud her identity from the public's gaze, for the time being. Amelia and Holmes deliberated on their nascent relationship, with Holmes confessing his reluctance to jeopardize her safety. When he mentioned Dan Moriarty, Amelia vowed they would never cross paths again.

Yet, this might not hold true! A closing scene reveals a section of the ambassador's house passageway in disarray, hinting at Dan's narrow escape!
