The tenth episode of Shin's Project commences with Heo-jun berating Dong-hee for botching their plan. Instead of grazing Heo-jun as intended, he ended up stabbing Chul. Heo-jun then turns the tables and inquires about Shin.
At the hospital, Philip encounters Shin and offers his help. However, Shin declines his offer, citing the dangerous nature of the mission and the potential for him to take a life.
In a hotel room, Heo-jun reveals that it all started with Yong-woo. He explains that Kim Yong-woo had landed Dong-hee's mother in the hospital, and Dong-hee thanks Heo-jun for taking care of his mother. However, he also lies to Heo-jun, saying he didn't know Chul was going to be there that night.
As Philip and Si-on go to make deliveries, she notices something on his mind. She urges him to help Shin if he wants to and not overthink it. Later, Philip meets Judge Kim, who congratulates him on changing the ordinance for gig workers. However, he warns Philip to stay away from Yun Dong-hee. After Philip leaves, Judge Kim peruses a folder on a task force for conflict resolution.
The story shifts to Kim Yong-woo, revealing that he had taken photos and a video of Heo-jun hiring Dong-hee to kill someone.
Shin then meets Chul and tells him that he suspects Heo-jun and Dong-hee knew each other better than they let on. Chul reveals that his previous investigation had shown an inmate at the juvenile detention hall died, and rumors suggested it was Dong-hee who did it.
Shin visits Heo-jun, taking him up on his offer to talk. When he mentions wanting revenge, Heo-jun encourages him. Then, using Kim Soo-dong's tech-savvy talents, Shin sends a message to Dong-hee, making it appear as if all of his money has been withdrawn. Another text asks Dong-hee to kill Shin.
Dong-hee presents the evidence to Heo-jun, who reassures him that his finances are secure and urges him to concentrate on eliminating Yong-woo. Shin, having shadowed Heo-jun's movements, now knows Dong-hee's whereabouts. At the chicken shop, Philip offers Si-on a medicinal concoction and stay-awake gum for her upcoming exam. He hesitates to divulge more but agrees to share the details after the exam.
After her concert, Ji-woo attempts to surprise her mother, but Madam Joo reacts in a panicked manner. Ji-woo becomes agitated and is about to leave when Yong-woo seizes her, taking her beloved teddy bear and making a swift escape just as Manager Bae arrives to claim her.
In his hideout, Yong-woo retrieves a pen drive from the teddy bear, revealing the compromising images of Heo-jun and Dong-hee.
The next morning, Philip and Shin escort Si-on to her exam. Chul returns to work and his first act is to revisit the spot where he was stabbed. Something feels off about the situation. They then proceed to Heo-jun's residence, where they witness Yong-woo depositing something in his mailbox.
Following Si-on's exam, Shin takes her and Philip out for lunch. Coincidentally, they spot Philip's parents on their way out, prompting an awkward introduction from Philip. Upon returning to the chicken shop, another case arises. Mr. Kwon, the laundromat owner, informs them that Mr. Jang, the owner of Pluto Chinese restaurant, has been missing for some time. Mr. Kwon mentions a fight with his girlfriend as the last known event.
Shin sends Philip and Si-on to Andong, where his girlfriend resides. No one answers the door at her place, so the duo spends some time in the picturesque seaside town. Philip inquires about Si-on's dream, which she keeps as a secret. Mr. Jang, who was unreachable due to inebriation, finally calls Si-on and Philip, though his message is vague.
Back in Seoul, Heo-jun discovers the blackmail photos in his mail and instructs Yong-woo to meet him. However, Yong-woo realizes he's being tailed and calls upon Shin for assistance. Shin advises him to postpone the meeting, which Yong-woo agrees to. During their conversation, Yong-woo reveals Heo-jun's involvement and the location of the original USB - "somewhere Madam Joo knows." Unfortunately, before Yong-woo can return home, Dong-hee runs him over with a car and steals the USB (a copy) from his jacket.
As Yong-woo's body lay in the morgue, Chul and Yeo-kyung recognized him immediately. Meanwhile, Heo-jun believed the job was done and the task was complete. However, he was proved wrong when Shin sent him a message, revealing that he had the original USB. In a flurry of panic, Heo-jun immediately reached out to Dong-hee with a new assignment.
The following morning, Chul and Yeo-kyung delved into the CCTV footage, uncovering numerous instances where Yong-woo was seen. In one particular clip, they witnessed Dong-hee tailing Yong-woo at Hujin Arcade. Chul's instincts kicked in, and he realized that Shin was in imminent danger.
At the same time, Dong-hee made a fateful decision - he sliced a gas line in Shin's house and set the microwave to explode in ten minutes. But as he turned to flee, Shin was quick on his feet and knocked him out cold.
