The scene shifts to Hujin Arcade, where the air is filled with the joyous celebration of Si-on's successful exam results. She even hints at her aspiration to join the police force. However, a surprise arrival of Mr. Jang shakes things up as he announces his impending marriage. He requests Philip to be the Master of Ceremonies (MC) and bestows upon Si-on a sum of money for her wedding attire, considering her a surrogate sister. After a thrilling shopping spree, Philip sneaks away to purchase a necklace for Si-on.

On the wedding day, the family piles into a bus, making their way to Andong. However, Mr. Jang and his fiancée, Song Yeon-ji, are embroiled in an argument. Mr. Jang had promised to convince his father to hold a fifty-fifty wedding, where the expenses are shared equally. But he still hasn't been able to convince his father, which is why Yeon-ji refuses to proceed with the wedding.

Shin steps in amidst the conflict and during a heart-to-heart conversation with the family, he reveals a delightful piece of news - Yeon-ji is pregnant. This change of heart leads Mr. Jang's family to readily agree to the fifty-fifty marriage, and the two families exchange a list of agreements. The wedding finally commences, and during Mr. Jang's father's speech, he mentions the coming baby, which earns Mr. Jang a disapproving glare from his wife.

After the ceremony, Shin receives a call from someone named Ji-in. Meanwhile, Si-on shares her aspiration to become a cop with Philip as they stroll by the water's edge. Philip then gifts her the necklace and kisses her tenderly.

Elsewhere, Judge Kim presents his proposal to establish a conflict resolution task force, highlighting how Shin and his team have successfully mediated 20 cases without them going to trial. However, when Judge Kim approaches Shin, he seems uninterested and reveals that he has to travel to the US to see Ji-in, Jun's mother.

Shin embarks on his journey soon thereafter, and the others bid him farewell. Philip gladly accepts the job at the task force on Shin's suggestion. Judge Kim then asks Kim Soo-dong to join as well. One month later, Philip and Soo-dong have officially started working in the task force, continuing their mission with renewed vigor and determination.

Back at the Hujin Arcade, Mr. Kwon is embroiled in a heated debate with his landlady when Shin arrives, promptly scolding her off as she storms away. As she departs, the crowd warmly greets Shin with a mix of excitement and relief. Philip and Soo-dong have come bearing a new case involving Jung Kyung-uk, a man who relentlessly sues small restaurants for their food not meeting his personal tagline standards. They seek Shin's assistance, but he seems unenthusiastic about the matter.

While catching up with Judge Kim, Shin confesses that he finally apologized to Ji-in. Judge Kim, once again, urges Shin to join the task force. At work, Philip and Soo-dong learn of Heo-jun's 17-year prison sentence. Meanwhile, Choi Chul has been promoted, and he and Yeo-kyung pay a visit to Shin's chicken shop to discuss the new case with Philip, Soo-dong, and Judge Kim.

The police reveal that a law firm has been secretly paying Kyung-uk. The same law firm then offers its services to the small business owners for their legal battles. Shin suggests a change in their business tagline as a bait to lure Jung Kyung-uk to the chicken shop. Unsurprisingly, Kyung-uk sues Shin for his chicken not being "soul crispy." Following this, the law firm reaches out.

In prison, Heo-jun receives special treatment, including a weekly delivery of a lavish box of sushi. His surprise is short-lived when he sees that Dong-hee has been transferred to his prison for a week. Later, Heo-jun asks a guard to take him to the infirmary where, unexpectedly, Dong-hee attacks and kills him.

Meanwhile, Si-on drops Ye-on off with Han, urging her to remind Philip about his promise. Later, Mr. Kwon gets into a tussle with Mr. Jang over choosing someone else as his wedding officiant. When Philip arrives, he intervenes and forces them to make up.

Later, Philip conducts an interview for a new task force judge in the chicken shop. Just as Judge Kim instructed Philip to work at the shop, Philip now tells the new recruit to do the same, reinforcing the shop's role as a center of activity and resolution in their community.
