Shin’s Project – K-drama Episode 7 1

At the hospital, Baek Seung-mu is rushed for emergency treatment, his recovery witnessed by Jae-kyung who informs Philip that he will withdraw the suit against Seung-mu.

Meanwhile, Choi Chul and Shin pay a visit to the medical facility from which Dong-hee escaped, only to be met with a brick wall by the security guards who prevent Chul from meeting the physician in charge of Dong-hee's case. Later, Shin enlists the help of Kim Soo-dong to search for any hidden funds Dong-hee might have stashed away.

Elsewhere, Chul attempts to seek permission from his boss to investigate Dong-hee's accomplice, but his request is denied.

At the chicken shop, Judge Kim pays a visit to check on Shin, even imploring Philip to keep him informed of any unusual activities by Shin. Philip, on the other hand, is more preoccupied with the real estate dispute. When Seung-mu wakes up, Shin encourages him not to give up, and Jae-kyung stays by his side that night, exchanging apologies and making amends. The next day, Philip aids Seung-mu and Jae-kyung in lodging an official complaint against Mi-sook.

Meanwhile, Mi-sook and her partner, Lee In-chul, are enjoying a beachside hotel, continuing their scamming ways by stealing an ID card from a homeless man.

Elsewhere still, Shin approaches Chairman Park and requests an introduction to someone who is both discreet and adept with needles. The person in question turns out to be none other than Manager Bae, Madam Joo's assistant. Kim Soo-dong traces the location of In-chul's phone, and Shin and his team drive over to the seaside town. Manager Bae, posing as the couple's driver, picks them up and serves them a drink that induces a swift unconsciousness.

Returning to town, Kim Yong-woo confronts Madame Joo with a fierce determination to uncover the whereabouts of Ji-woo. Her refusal to divulge the information is met with a chilling threat, forcing him to retreat.

Meanwhile, Philip and Si-on embark on a mission to unravel the identity theft of a man named Kang Young-mook among the local homeless. They discover that Mi-sook has taken three apartments in his name and already leased two of them. Posing as a couple in search of a new home, they visit the real estate office, where the realtor enthusiastically suggests Mi-sook's apartment, which is registered under Kang Young-mook's name. However, their euphoria is short-lived as Yeo-gyeong and one of her colleagues burst into the office, arresting the realtor for fraud.

In a dilapidated greenhouse, Shin has Manager Bae tie up the couple and attach them to an IV. When they regain consciousness, Shin grants them a cruel three-minute window to decide which one of them will survive. When they fail to make a choice, Shin forces a white powder down In-chul's throat, causing his mouth to foam and him to pass out. Fearing for her life, Mi-sook agrees to pay back all her victims and transfers the money immediately.

Everyone, including Jae-kyung, receives their deposit back. However, even after this, Shin pours the white powder into Mi-sook's mouth as well. Later, the couple awakens to find Yeo-gyeong and her colleague standing over them, quickly leading to their arrest.

Shin and his team celebrate their victory over dinner, with Si-on expressing her sadness at not being able to stay in the picturesque seaside town any longer. Graciously, Shin allows them all to stay at a spa. Before they sleep, Philip discloses to Shin that he knows about the kidnapping but understands it was for Jae-kyung and Seung-mu's sake. Afterwards, Shin heads off on his own while Philip and Si-on enjoy a delightful day at the amusement park. Later that night, Si-on confesses that her own mother left when she was just two years old.

During their interrogation by the police, Mi-sook and In-chul learn that Shin had merely used glucose tablets and effervescent vitamins to create the foaming effect. Mi-sook requests a meeting with Seung-mu, who eventually agrees and gives her a piece of his mind, stating that his true family is Jae-kyung and the people at the orphanage. Later on, Judge Kim treats the boys to a meal and commends them for their handling of the situation.

Kim Soo-dong discloses to Shin the discovery of an offshore account in the name of Yun Dong-hee's mother, a find that holds the promise of unraveling the truth. However, he cautions that deciphering the account's password will require some time. Meanwhile, Dong-hee finds himself at a daycare center called Sunshine, where a mysterious figure slips him a photograph of a young girl beneath a door, as if teasing him with a glimpse into a secret. Later, Shin makes his way to the same location, an address that has surfaced in Dong-hee's records, further tying the dots in their investigation.
