Single Papa – Season 1 Episode 3 1

Gaurav counters with a reminder that he is eligible to reapply for adoption and insists on a new home survey. When Romila refuses, he dangles the threat of exposing her online. Reluctantly, Romila relents and agrees to let him reapply, hoping to avert the public embarrassment.

Meanwhile, Poonam's friend Meenu escorts her to meet a religious leader named BKG, who introduces her to his assistant, Vishwas. Vishwas counsels Poonam on absurd and superstitious rituals like chopping her hair and wearing yellow, claiming they will fix her family's problems.

Elsewhere, Gaurav forges a friendship with a pregnant woman named Sharanya at parenting classes. She educates him on baby-proofing and urges him to prepare his house for the upcoming survey. With Pawan's assistance, Gaurav sets up Amul's room in his new house, earning a compliment from Namrata but also causing frustration ahead of her wedding due to the disruptions caused by Gaurav's actions.

Gaurav asks Namrata to lie for him, revealing a flashback where he had previously told Romila that Namrata would be Amul's backup guardian, falsely claiming she would never marry and would raise the child with him. In the present, Namrata is outraged and refuses to participate in the deception.

The next day, Gaurav meets Aparna at her office and requests a positive recommendation. Aparna perceives him as entitled, chauvinistic, and obsessed with the idea of parenting. Gaurav confesses his obsession with having a baby and vows to fight relentlessly for Amul's adoption. Impressed by his honesty and determination, Aparna agrees to support him, adding fuel to Gaurav's passionate pursuit.

As Poonam returned home with a sleek bob haircut, fully dressed in vibrant yellow and exhibiting an unusual demeanor, Jatin was left puzzled. The next day, Romila arrived for the second home survey, requesting to meet Namrata. Gaurav lied, claiming that Namrata was out of town, and handed Romila a letter purportedly written by her. As Romila read the letter aloud, Namrata suddenly appeared in the room, causing her to startle. She questioned Namrata about the letter and her supposed trip, leaving the latter flustered while Gaurav continued with his lies.

Eventually, Namrata relented and claimed that she would never marry and would take full responsibility for raising Amul with her brother. Once Romila left, Namrata rebuked Gaurav for dragging her into his deceit.

A few days later, Gaurav received the news that he had passed the survey. However, Shlok soon informed him that Romila had already handed Amul's custody to Sayonee. Pawan suggested seeking political help.

At a government office, Gaurav met Mrs. Ketki Talsania, the Chairperson of Women's and Child Development, and explained his conflict with Romila. Ketki ordered a formal interrogation.

During the hearing, Romila argued that Gaurav was unfit to parent due to his upbringing and family issues. Gaurav countered that he was being discriminated against and asserted his equal right to parent despite his gender. He admitted his flaws but emphasized his commitment to becoming a better parent. Moved by his plea, the panel granted Gaurav foster custody of Amul on a three-month probation.

The episode ended with Gaurav bringing Amul home, accompanied by Pawan and Namrata, while Romila secretly bribed a security guard to keep watch on Gaurav and the baby.
