The fourth episode of Single Papa unfolds with Jatin's unexpected encounter at a hotel, where he witnesses Poonam and Vishwas sitting in close proximity, fueling his suspicions. Meanwhile, Gaurav grapples with the sleepless nights as he struggles to soothe Amul, whose restlessness has left him exhausted. The following day, Gaurav's irritability and lack of sleep spill over at work, leading to an altercation with a customer at his wine mart. Sharanya, concerned for her husband's well-being, intervenes and offers to arrange a nanny to help with Amul's care.
As Jatin confronts Poonam about her alleged affair, she remains unyielding. That evening, Namrata reveals to Gaurav her escape from a wedding with Goldie's parents, after a near-miss with Romila. She asks Gaurav to intervene with Goldie regarding the lie told to Romila about her marriage plans. Gaurav visits Goldie's home and strikes a connection with his cousin, Shreya, who happens to be a pediatrician. However, a sleep-deprived Gaurav makes an unfortunate collision with Goldie's new car.
Back at home, Namrata is furious at Gaurav for once again complicating her life. Jatin accuses him of being irresponsible and ruining Namrata's marriage. Gaurav counters that he is trying to be a good father to Amul—a role Jatin never fulfilled for him. Jatin, hurt by the accusation, cuts Gaurav off financially. The colony watchman, Tomar, informs Romila of the altercation, leading to her summoning Gaurav for a stern questioning about his finances. Gaurav lies again, further enraging her. She compares him unfavorably to Sayonee and questions how he plans to raise Amul without an income. Distressed by this revelation, Gaurav delves into his finances and learns from his accountant that he has no assets and almost no savings. He embarks on the job hunt but faces repeated rejections due to his lack of formal education and work experience.
As Sharanya inquired about the nanny's status, Gaurav admitted that finding a job was his primary concern. The next day, Poonam paid Gaurav a visit with food, urging him to return home and even offering him monetary assistance. Gaurav stood firm in his decision to raise Amul, refusing the offer.
Later, Gaurav and Pawan took Amul to the hospital for a rash, only to discover that the on-duty pediatrician was Shreya. Since Goldie's family was unaware of the adoption, Gaurav lied and claimed Amul was Pawan's child. They managed to convince Shreya, but Pawan warned Gaurav that the truth could not be hidden forever.

Gaurav offered to help pitch the campaign to the company's CEO, Ayaan, drawing on his experience at the wine mart. His sales pitch was effective, and he secured a full-time job.
On his first day at work, Gaurav brought Amul to the office, causing chaos. Ayaan reprimanded him and insisted that he hire a nanny. That evening, while shopping at a convenience store and speaking to Sharanya on the phone, Gaurav left Amul in his pram.
