In the fifth episode of "Single Papa," Meenu relays Gaurav's panic as she informs him that Amul is inside the convenience store with a man named Parbat, introduced as a "manny" sent by Sharanya. Gaurav's discomfort with the idea of a male nanny is immediately palpable, but Sharanya's persuasive words convince him to give Parbat a six-day trial.

With Parbat taking care of Amul, Gaurav finds himself noticeably more at ease. Over the following days, Parbat grows closer to the child, and Gaurav reveals that he is fostering Amul for three months. Parbat promises to assist Gaurav in securing full parental rights once the probation period is over.
Meanwhile, Jatin follows Poonam to a hotel, only to witness her entering a room with Vishwas, leaving him heartbroken. Little does he know, Poonam is meeting with the religious leader BKG, who offers her a ring in exchange for two lakh rupees, claiming it will solve all her problems. Poonam places her faith in him without hesitation. Jatin watches her leave with Vishwas, leaving him shattered.
At work, Gaurav flirts with Aparna, jokingly suggesting they get back together. Aparna laughs it off and shuts him down with a firm "no." Shortly after, Namrata and Goldie inform Gaurav that the Agarwals are trying to set him up with Shreya. Although awkward about the situation, Gaurav agrees to meet her.
The next day, Shreya arrives at Gaurav's house for their date. Gaurav briefly tries to avoid it but gets ready to leave. Parbat heads out for his day off, and Shreya is surprised to see a nanny at Gaurav's place. Gaurav tries to maintain the lie, but Shreya quickly catches on.
Over drinks, Gaurav finally comes clean about the adoption, explaining that he hid the truth because the Agarwals are conservative. Shreya reveals that she is divorced herself, and the two bond over their shared experiences. Just as they are about to kiss, Aparna shows up, creating visible tension when Shreya realizes she is Gaurav's ex-wife. Aparna asks Gaurav for help with a work project, and Shreya leaves, giving Gaurav a chance to reassure her that he and Aparna only share a professional relationship.
Following their time with Amul, Aparna and Gaurav find themselves in a moment of reflection with Gaurav's mind briefly wandering back to a past connection. Their solitude is disrupted yet again by Romila's unexpected visit for an inspection. She questions Gaurav about his nanny, expressing displeasure upon learning that Parbat is male, believing Amul requires a more feminine touch in her care. Parbat strives to defend his role, but Romila stands firm, offering to secure a female nanny instead.
The next day, Parbat performs a heroic act by saving Amul from being struck by a car, which leaves Gaurav both grateful and reluctant to accept Romila's chosen nanny, Shobha. Parbat bids an emotional farewell to Amul, realizing the mistake he made. In a moment of clarity, Gaurav refuses to hire Shobha and boldly asserts that he will make decisions for his child, even if it challenges the adoption process. Romila takes her leave, and Parbat thanks Gaurav for standing by him in this difficult decision.
That evening, Namrata and Goldie embark on their final pre-wedding date at a restaurant. Their tranquil moment is interrupted by the sudden appearance of Romila, who is shocked to see Namrata with a man. Namrata casually dismisses Goldie as a mere fling and hints that marriage is not in her future plans. Goldie is left stunned, but before he can fully process Romila's identity, she disappears from the scene, leaving the episode hanging in the air.
