As days pass, the search expands across the town, with locals joining forces. Vanessa and Eric visit morgues, praying for a miracle that Julio is still alive. Vanessa also makes a public appeal, urging people across Chile to help her find her son. Two weeks later, Detective Montero and his team arrive to investigate the case. He tries to take control but is met with resistance from the Captain, who refuses to remove the local police from the investigation. The Captain mentions a mute witness who might have crucial information.

Montero, fluent in sign language, speaks to the witness and learns that Julio was beaten and kidnapped by a group of men. The witness asserts that Julio was taken to a cabin in the woods. Meanwhile, Montero clashes with the local police, warning his team to remain vigilant. Vanessa's hopes begin to fade as time passes without any significant progress in the investigation.

Elsewhere, Montero and Detective Concha visit Vanessa and Eric to inquire about Julio's last interactions. Vanessa cooperates but questions why the authorities haven't taken action against the club owners.

The detectives embarked on a journey to the discotheque, where they questioned Bruno and his wife, the proprietors of the establishment. They asserted their ignorance of Julio's presence that night, a claim that left the detectives with more questions than answers. Bruno added that the case had forced the club to close its doors, prompting Montero to inquire about the bouncer who worked there.

Meanwhile, Montero and Concha delved deeper into the case, considering the possibility of following up on the bouncer's lead. Montero revealed that Detective Carrasco was already in possession of the bouncer's account.

Elsewhere, Carrasco spoke with the bouncer, who suggested that Julio had left the club in a state of severe intoxication. He directed the police to search the woods for any clues.

Sofía met Vanessa at a restaurant later, where they discussed Julio's disappearance. She was shocked to hear about the alleged kidnapping and tried to comfort Vanessa amidst her grief.

The next day, Vanessa confronted Bruno and his wife at a grocery store, placing the blame for her son's disappearance squarely on their shoulders.

Meanwhile, the detectives investigated various leads throughout town, including a blue van mentioned by the mute witness. Montero and Concha later questioned the witness's wife and began to doubt his account, concluding that he may have fabricated the story. Montero informed the judge, who was surprised to learn that the kidnapping testimony was unreliable. Montero then updated Vanessa and reassured her that his team was now leading the investigation with renewed determination.

Meanwhile, at a church, Father Andrés heard a confession from an unknown man who mentioned Julio's disappearance. The priest was shaken but unable to identify the confessor.

The episode concluded with Father Andrés praying for guidance and Vanessa continuing her relentless search for her son.
