Meanwhile, Detective Montero welcomes Detective Vásquez to the investigation. Eric tries to speak to Leo, but his parents refuse. As he leaves, Eric notices Julio's jacket in Leo's house and takes it to Vanessa. Later, Vanessa confronts Leo at school and threatens to hand it over to the police.

Elsewhere, Father Andrés panics when someone approaches him about a recent confession. Bruno, meanwhile, reacts angrily to Julio's missing posters across town and tears them down. He's arrested for damaging public property, and the Captain takes the detectives to a press conference to address the situation.

After the conference, Concha, Fuentes, and Altamirano update Montero and Vásquez about Bruno's possible involvement. Montero then asks Carrasco to befriend Leo and find out what happened that night.

Carrasco follows Leo to a snooker club and overhears him speaking to a friend. Leo claims that both he and Julio were drunk and high and says he blacked out. He also expresses frustration over the attention the case has brought him.

The next day, Carrasco shares this information with Montero and Vásquez. Montero criticizes him for moving slowly and urges him to get Leo to reveal the truth.

Meanwhile, Father Andrés meets the Bishop and mentions the Montoya family and the confession. The Bishop presses him for details, but Andrés refuses to disclose anything.

Judge Elvira informs Montero, Concha, and Vásquez that Bruno has been released. She asks them to attend Leo's psychological evaluation.

At the psychiatrist's office, Leo's mind reels back to a party he attended before heading to the club with Julio and the Belén sisters. He recalls warning Julio to steer clear of María Belén, a moment that sparked a minor disagreement between them. As they all ventured to the club after midnight, an exercise jogged Leo's memory, and he began to recall events more vividly. He vividly remembers witnessing Bruno striking Julio.

Upon this revelation, Judge Elvira instructs Montero to search for Julio's body. Meanwhile, the detectives storm Bruno's cottage but face resistance when questioned. Later, at their accommodation, the detectives share a drink together. Observing them, Montero realizes something and confronts Leo about his lies. He points out that Leo couldn't have been as intoxicated as he claimed since he drove home safely. Montero questions why Leo did nothing when Julio was attacked and demands the truth.

Meanwhile, Vanessa reads anonymous, hateful messages about Julio's disappearance. Eric halts her and sends her to rest. The next day, Montero meets with Vanessa to discuss her confrontation with Leo. She informs him about the messages, leading Montero to consider the idea of anonymous confessions. The episode concludes with Montero heading to the church to meet with Father Andrés.
