Montero approaches Eric outside the courtroom, his brow furrowed in concern as he inquires about Vanessa's whereabouts. Eric's words, "She's with Horacio," are met with a scowl from Montero, who lays the blame squarely on Eric's shoulders for leaving Vanessa with a con artist. With a sense of urgency in his step, Montero rushes to find her.

At the discotheque, Montero has Horacio arrested, a move that enrages Vanessa. He promises to uncover the truth about Julio and reminds her of Eric's upcoming interview. She rushes to the courtroom but accidentally hits an animal on the way, blaming herself for neglecting Eric.

Back at the courthouse, Eric successfully completes his interview and is awarded his degree, a moment Vanessa celebrates with joy.

Meanwhile, Montero reaches out to the archbishop for assistance in getting Father Andrés to speak about the confession. He is advised to spend time in prayer with Vanessa and Eric, hoping it will influence the priest.

Elsewhere, the detectives arrest Alan at a nightclub and interrogate him. He denies involvement but admits to being afraid he would suffer the same fate as Julio. Alan reveals that he left La Cucaracha early that night and tells the detectives that he saw a group of boys chasing and attacking Julio in the woods.
