Episode 7 of "Something Very Bad is Going to Happen" begins with the wedding preparations in full swing, with the ceremony set to commence in just an hour. In Victoria's room, the family is deeply divided over whether to cancel the wedding since Victoria remains unconscious. Portia is adamant about canceling it, but she is reminded that it's not her decision to make. She presses Nicky to choose between Rachel and Victoria and accuses Rachel of invoking the devil's intervention. The argument escalates, and Rachel clarifies that she only summoned her great-great-aunt. Ultimately, she declares that she will marry Nicky, regardless of the situation. Boris escorts them all out of Victoria's room.

Rachel enlists the help of Nell and Jules to gather everything they need for the living dead ritual. Fortunately, she discovers Portia's book on rituals, which provides clear instructions on what to do. According to the book, the ritual will transform Rachel into Nicky's perfect soulmate. However, they need Rachel's bone to complete the ritual, along with Nicky's seed and other requirements. Nell and Rachel divide their tasks while Jules stands by to be briefed on the plan.
Nell tries to persuade Rachel to reconsider the plan, but Rachel is all in for the ritual. She believes that it will be like a good lobotomy for her, providing certainty that she will live without worrying about the consequences.
Portia abruptly interrupts, announcing her decision to cancel the wedding. Rachel, unafraid to confront her, reminds her that Victoria was the one who was more enthusiastic about the wedding. As the guests and the witness start to arrive, chaos ensues. Before she can even gather the ritual's items, Jude informs her that he has lost the wedding rings. As they search for them, Rachel runs into the witness, who taunts her and reveals his penchant for collecting memorabilia from each event. He is currently wearing her mother's necklace and her father's tie. Rachel, angered by his audacity, tells him that she is determined to end the curse and intentionally breaks his glass. She grabs a piece with his blood and leaves.
Meanwhile, Nell briefs Jules on their plan, and he agrees to help. The guests keep interrupting Rachel, asking about her wedding dress and other trivial matters. She makes her way to Victoria's room and snatches a few strands of her hair. Boris finds her and asks what she is doing. She lies that she is checking on Victoria, and he then sits by the bedside, where she notices he has the lethal injection. She tries to persuade him out of ending Victoria's life, but he insists that she is slipping away and would prefer to die as herself.
Next, she finds Nell and Jules, who help her decide which toe to cut off. Afterward, she heads to the room and finds Nicky, who is visibly stressed out. He has left a lucky coin outside their door, hoping it would be enough to ward off bad luck. Nicky admits that he is struggling after his parents' revelation and is no longer sure of who he is. She senses his withdrawal and consoles him.
In this tense and emotional scenario, each character's actions and reactions are driven by their desire to break the curse and save Victoria's life, while also grappling with their own personal struggles and uncertainties. The tension between Rachel and the witness adds an extra layer of conflict, as does the internal turmoil of Nicky and the determination of Jude to find the missing wedding rings. The scene is filled with suspense and drama as the characters race against time to find a solution before it's too late.
Rachel candidly reveals that her harshness towards himself stems from his inherent kindness, and she readily pardons him for inviting her father to the wedding. Furthermore, she shares the story of her kiss with Nell, which he, too, forgives her for. Convinced by his worthiness of love, Nicky steps aside to prepare, leaving her with a glistening glass filled with the combined essence of their preparations.
As the day unfolds, the workers return with the family portrait, now featuring Rachel as an integral part of the family. A fleeting moment later, Victoria awakes, and Nell and Portia attend to her, ensuring she's ready for the upcoming ceremony.
The event commences, revealing Portia as the culprit who had hidden the wedding rings. Jude retrieves his parents' ring and watches as his father assists Nell in placing the ring on her finger. The episode concludes with guests standing tall in support of Rachel as she embarks on her walk down the aisle. Yet, the narrative leaves a tantalizing mystery - whether she has imbibed the mixture or not remains an enigma.
