Spring of Youth – K-drama Episode 9 1

Elsewhere, Sang-heon tasks Secretary Kang with uncovering every detail of Sa Gye's whereabouts from six years past, hinting at secrets buried deep in time.

As dawn breaks, Sa Gye joins his bandmates in adorning their studio space in anticipation of Tae-yang's arrival. However, Tae-yang arrives with a chip on his shoulder, publicly renouncing any affiliation with the band, insisting his visit is solely to catch up with Hanju Band. Bom and the rest are understandably crestfallen. On the brink of his departure, Bom confronts Tae-yang, who promptly invites her to abandon Two Sa Gye and join Jo & Jo instead. Bom reveals her independent venture – a new label under which she has already signed Sa Gye. Tae-yang, undeterred, confesses his feelings once more, only to be met with Bom's firm rejection and the promise of her deleting his number.

Flashbacks transport us to a tender scene where a younger Tae-yang offers comfort to a grieving Bom, ignoring her pleas to stop. In the present, Ja-young approaches Sa Gye, seeking an advance on her salary. Realizing the financial pinch without upcoming gigs, Sa Gye takes up a part-time job as a foot deliveryman.

Just when it seems the day couldn't get any more challenging, a call from Sang-heon summons Sa Gye to his office. There, Sang-heon and Min-cheol confront him with the medical report detailing his cornea transplant, accusing him of impossibility in witnessing the accident and threatening legal action. Undeterred by their threats, Sa Gye calmly urges them to proceed as they wish.In the early morning hours, Sa Gye fabricates a hurried tale about financial matters to Ja-young before dashing out to his part-time job. Bom, perceptive as ever, sees right through his charade and realizes that Sa Gye had been footing the bills out of his own pocket, now left penniless after the recent robbery. Later, while Sa Gye is once again engrossed in his food delivery duties, Bom lends him a hand, disguised as an enigmatic female biker.

Upon returning home, Gyu-ri catches sight of Jin-gu entering a luxurious vehicle and, in a panic, assumes he's being abducted by a loan shark. Ja-young, having just arrived, joins forces with Gyu-ri to scare off the perceived threat.

That evening, Sa Gye takes stock of his dwindling finances, the looming tuition fees weighing heavily on his mind. Desperate, he puts his cherished guitar up for sale. To his surprise, an anonymous buyer, claiming to be a fan, swiftly offers an exorbitant sum of 100 million won, instructing him to keep both the guitar and his musical pursuits with the band. Lo and behold, the benefactor turns out to be Jin-gu, who watches from the confines of his car before instructing the driver to take him to his father.

Overjoyed, Sa Gye shares the good news with Ja-young, who decides to splurge on new clothes rather than a refrigerator. As they make their way back, Sa Gye encounters Seung-su, who presents him with a bag of groceries. Sa Gye then entrusts Seung-su with the task of inquiring whether Sang-heon had received medical attention on the day of the accident.

Back at home, Tae-yang pleads with his father to convince Jo & Jo to sign Bom, confessing his feelings for her. Min-cheol, incensed, shatters a glass in response. Tae-yang demands to know the reason behind his father's intense dislike for her, but receives no satisfactory answer.

Min-cheol abruptly receives a phone call and dashes off to Jo & Jo, where Sa Gye is confronting Sang-heon with an air of tension. A doctor from the emergency room at Hanju University Hospital has informed Sa Gye that both Sang-heon and Min-cheol had been at the hospital, treated for minor injuries. Sa Gye vows to meet them both at the police station before departing. As he exits, Seung-su hands him a folder from the ER doctor. On his way out, Tae-yang crosses his path, inquisitive about his grievances against Min-cheol. Sa Gye remains silent, yet his silence speaks volumes. Intrigued, Tae-yang heads upstairs and, by chance, overhears a heated exchange between the two men, uncovering their deepest secrets. To his horror, he also eavesdrops on their sinister plot to eliminate Sa Gye, leaving him utterly stunned and disoriented. Ji-na discovers him in this state, worried about his upcoming appearance on The Crown's special episode.

Back at home, Sa Gye reaches out to the detective, intending to entrust him with something crucial. Meanwhile, a call from Reporter Han presents an opportunity for Two Sa Gye to perform on television, albeit as a guest on The Crown's special episode. Bom expresses reluctance, but Gyu-ri persuades everyone to seize the moment. Unbeknownst to them, this is merely a clever maneuver by Sang-heon and Min-cheol to rid themselves of Sa Gye.

During the special episode's interview, Tae-yang remains in a trance-like state. His astonishment doubles when the host announces Two Sa Gye as the surprise guest. The band performs their debut song with Tae-yang, but his reverie is shattered as he realizes this is all part of the elaborate scheme to harm Sa Gye. Spotting flickers of flame near the equipment adjacent to Sa Gye, Tae-yang springs into action, pushing Sa Gye to safety. In the ensuing chaos, both young men lose consciousness.
