Stags – Season 1 Episode 2 1

John (Cavan Clerkin) directs everyone to select a stick to determine who will sacrifice a kidney. Kai (Jojo Macari) is reluctantly compelled to gather Ant's internal organs when they spill onto the floor. John draws the shortest stick, but the doctor (Tony Corvillo) declines to operate on him due to his poor health. Hugo (Paul Forman) volunteers to step forward, offering to donate in exchange for compensation. Stu (Nico Mirallergo) concurs. Hugo Branco tells Kai he'll retain his kidneys for displaying team spirit.

Ryan (Corin Silva) expresses curiosity about Ant's body's destination, learning it's being taken to the men on the rooftop. Clem begins to panic. In private, Hugo ponders their escape plan from the prison. Kai apologizes for inciting their wrath when he picked up Ant's internals, insisting he cherished Ant too. Branco confides in Selma that he's unenthusiastic about the new order, but she counters that he's incapable of handling it. She scolds him for his past idiotic decisions and suspects he's communicating with the Americans, wondering if someone else is as well. Branco suspects she might betray him.

Ryan awakens Stu in the dead of night. Privately, he reveals his suspicion that more people were involved beyond just Greg. They may have orchestrated the situation or Greg could have had accomplices. Stu inquires about Ryan's suspects. Stu fears they'd scapegoat him if they had any sense. Ryan suggests confronting Greg to uncover the truth. Kai wakes up to find the others missing, alerting his father and Hugo. Hugo speculates they've absconded with Ant's ring. Elsewhere, a man (Javier Godino) holds a janitor at gunpoint, demanding his shirt and mop.

When the janitor flatly refuses his request, the man attempts to broker a deal with him, using his chicken as leverage. His negotiations take a dark turn as he tries to sneakily procure a gun. In a twist, he unearths what seems to be a rescue safety line, perhaps hinting at unseen dangers lurking nearby. Selma commends Clem on her efforts but insists she cannot depart just yet. She pleads with Clem to stay, citing the short lifespan of Branco's toys under her care. Selma receives word that the state prosecutor's office will be in touch later that day, adding to the mounting tension.

As Clem departs, she catches sight of Gemma (Aysha Daraaui), her hand waving warmly in the air. Shortly after, Ryan and Stu catch up with her, revealing their desire to confront Greg. They agree to confront him together, a united front against whatever revelations lie ahead. Upon spotting Greg, Stu's demeanor instantly shifts to one of sheer panic, while Greg, unable to grasp the reality of Ant's demise, listens intently. Ryan breaks the news that Selma demands 200,000 in return for her silence. Greg, nonchalantly confident, assures them he can make this whole mess disappear; after all, he was merely couriering drugs for individuals whose influence spans the region. He craves a phone, his next move already plotted. Stu suggests to Ryan they should aim for a double deal, ambition fueling their desperation.

Elsewhere, Hugo, Kai, and John find themselves entangled in conversations about Greg and his turbulent life. Kai, craving almond butter, engages a woman in conversation, only to learn of her father's grocery delivery services and her desire for a hundred in exchange for his assistance. Hugo approaches one of Selma's gang's teenage members, hoping to borrow money, only to be rebuffed due to Greg's overwhelming debt. John ponders their dire food situation, the weight of their circumstances pressing heavily upon them.

Meanwhile, a shadowy figure creeps around the compound, his presence undetected until an alarm pierces the air, prompting him to conceal the rescue line hastily. Within the confines of the compound, a man succumbs to an embolism, his health is as brittle as thin ice. footwear, their plight outweighing his pride. In return, they secure the chicken, a meager yet precious victory.

Ryan casts a sidelong glance at Stu, wondering aloud if the situation isn't partly his fault. Together, Stu and Ryan seek help from a man perched atop the roof, offering him Ant's ring in exchange for assistance in burying him. Stu, ever the practical one, also requests a phone call to England, the strings of their past pulling tightly at their present.

The man seized the ring and handed Stu the phone, asserting that perhaps they might manage a call or two to London. However, he refused to entomb Ant. Ryan was dissatisfied with this arrangement, but Stu insisted they needed the phone, eventually persuading him to reconsider.

Clem discovered Greg's abandoned room and inquired after Selma's whereabouts with Gemma, who was equally clueless. Clem sought to uncover the reason for her confinement, and Gemma offered to aid in her escape, cautioning Clem to distrust Selma. Meanwhile, John instructed Kai to take the chicken back home and ensure it couldn't escape.

Hugo and John sought out Greg, catching sight of him sprinting nearby. Elsewhere, Ant's body was conveyed to the beast's lair. Luba (Alexandra Masangkay) fretted that Branco would be enraged by yet another death at the factory. Her companion suggested that the gringos would be ideal scapegoats, to which she agreed, provided they were naive enough not to suspect anything.

Ryan instructed Stu to convey the phone to Greg. Hugo and John intercepted Ryan, demanding clarification. Ryan contended that Stu had traded the ring for Ant's burial plot. John confessed his misgivings about Stu, but Ryan vowed that Stu wouldn't betray them. As Stu wandered with the phone in hand, Ryan learned of Greg's disappearance. Stu intercepted Greg and urged him to make the call.

Greg informed his boss of the turn of events, warning Stu that they would frame someone wealthy and pursue his family. Greg sought to shift the blame onto Stu, reminding him of his silence regarding his involvement thus far. Stu seized the phone and implicated Greg, then assaulted him and concluded the tale. He harbored hope that they might yet escape imprisonment.

After the call, Stu apologized to Greg, only to realize he might have killed him. As someone requested to use the bathroom, Stu hastily disposed of Greg's body in the toilet vault before admitting the next inmate. Ricardo (Antonio Coman) informed Selma of Greg's disappearance. Upon returning to his cell, Stu allowed the chicken to escape, only for someone else to seize it. Stu concealed the phone in a secret location.

Selma interrogated John, Ryan, Kai, and Hugo about the money, slicing John's nose before inquiring about Greg. She wondered if any of them could sing, as a feast day approached. She pointed a gun at each, compelling them to serenade her. Hugo's talent surprised her, leading her to designate him her personal entertainer.

Elsewhere, the man who had taken the chicken spotted Stu below. Stu glanced up and saw the man with the chicken, who warned the bird never to be alone with Stu in a toilet again.
