In the sixth episode of "Steal," the story unfolds with Zara and Luke, both held captive at home by a menacing Morgan. The latter demands that Zara surrender her cold wallet and its passcode. Instead, Zara offers a counter-proposal: Morgan can have Milo's cold wallet, which supposedly holds a staggering 20 million. The proposal piques Morgan's interest, but only if she leaves her own cold wallet behind and retrieves Milo's on her own. Luke is just as shocked at the revelation that Milo possesses such a large sum of money.

When they arrive at Milo's residence, they find him similarly at the mercy of a gun. He is forced to hand over the code to his safe and the cold wallet. Milo decides to use pepper spray as a last-ditch effort while Morgan's back is turned. He confidently claims he does not possess the codes, and they will need to go to Lochmill to retrieve them.
Milo's plan to spray Morgan and flee quickly backfires. He is fatally stabbed in the chest and eventually bleeds out. This revelation loosens Luke's lips, as he apparently knows the codes to Milo's safe, which are hidden at the office.
Meanwhile, Rhys is struggling to find an angle and calls Yashido for help. Yashido has no idea about Rhys' suspension, while Ellie is being closely watched. This is Rhys' way of obtaining Milo and Cartwright's files. They eventually agree to meet at Lochmill.
Interestingly, Rhys notices a rogue thief arrive at Lochmill that night with Luke and Zara. The latter are shocked when Morgan kills a security officer downstairs, leaving a trail of bodies in his wake. However, despite handing over the code to Morgan, the latter seems poised to kill Luke until he defeats the thief. Luke frees Zara and escapes with the cold wallet and codes for himself.
Zara held Morgan at gunpoint as Luke frantically worked to restore the electronics, desperate to call for police assistance. However, Rhys' unexpected arrival and subsequent knockout of Luke threw a wrench into their plans. Unbeknownst to him, chaos had already ensued.
News of the carnage reached the other thieves, who swiftly converged on Lochmill, intent on catching up with Morgan. The ensuing firefight was intense, with Morgan regaining consciousness, seizing the gun from Zara, and attempting to kill Rhys—who appeared at the most inopportune moment.
As the remaining thieves arrived, Rhys realized it had been too long since they called the police, and MI5 had intercepted their call. He warned of the need for a quick escape but it proved more difficult than anticipated.
Morgan methodically took out the remaining thieves one by one, while Zara served as a decoy, turning the tables on her former allies. Unfortunately, Rhys was shot in the ensuing firefight and injured severely. As the bad guys battled amongst themselves, Zara and Rhys managed to slip away.
Greed got the better of Zara's rationale, and she decided to return for the cold wallet. Walking right into Morgan, who was still on a rampage after eliminating the rest of the thieves, she was outmatched. Armed with a machine gun, he clearly had superior firepower compared to her taser.
Zara managed to get the upper hand on Morgan and taser him. But when he started rambling, she took advantage of the opportunity, repeatedly hitting him in the neck until he passed out.
In the aftermath, Zara and Luke patched up their differences, while Fitch and Ellie arrived to wrap up the mess. The tension and drama of the situation were etched into every word and action, painting a vivid picture of the chaotic events that unfolded.
With the MI5 firmly in control of the situation, news reports surfaced that Milo was behind the robbery and took his own life due to his guilt. It's revealed that portions of the stolen money were routed through tax haven accounts for various high-profile individuals, and a total of 32 celebrities were caught up in this mess. The Prime Minister announces that a public inquiry into British overseas territories being used for tax avoidance will now commence. The £4 billion has also been returned to the company accounts, and Luke seems ready to distance himself from the entire ordeal, chalking it up to some sort of activist or independent authority trying to make a point.
Zara is burdened with guilt and blames herself for what happened. She shows up to see Rhys and questions him about Morgan's last words, which incriminate Rhys. However, Rhys is not pleased and points out that the thief is clearly trying to mess with her mind. Given that he's lost his job and his house, not to mention he still has crippling debt, he's not the one behind this. If it's not him, then who?
Zara heads to Lochmill where she learns that the police are at the building investigating the returned money. Rhys shows up and admits to Zara that he's figured it out. He knows who the mastermind is - it's Yashido this whole time.
Rhys and Zara confront Yashido about what they've discovered. On the night of the shootout, Rhys asked Yashido to meet at the office, but he never showed up... but the thieves did. As far as motivations go, the thieves would either need to have money or hate money. After his impassioned speech with Gould earlier in the episode, Yashido falls into the latter category. This isn't just a whim either. Rhys spoke to the Superintendent, who confirms that Yashido turned down two prior cases a week before the robbery took place. For him, it was one giant PR stunt or a "firework show" as he calls it.
Yashido admits his involvement but also that it's deeper than they think. He's been in control of the accounts this whole time and sees it as "electrons moving around." As far as he's concerned, the entire financial system is broken and he wanted to expose it. The ones at the very top are the only ones who have benefited from it through tax havens.
Yashido has returned the pension money to Lochmill but not the money from the tax havens. That's all kept on a separate cold wallet, with a total of 10 million in slush fund money on it. He's trying to prove a point, offering them a chance to "change the world."
Zara and Rhys turn down the offer, but there's another twist. Outside, Zara shows off Milo's cold wallet, which she took herself. She chalks it up to their winnings from all of this. Zara knew that she'd be searched by the cops once everything was sorted out, so she had a trump card in Milo's cold wallet, which she kept for herself.
Zara has decided to walk away from Lochmill and do "something exciting."
