Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 – Season 1 Episode 10 1

Dustin and Daniel head underground, where they are joined by Max and Lucas, who pull Dustin away from the chaos. They find more vials of green goo, which Daniel eagerly grabs and stores in his backpack. However, they are not alone as a monstrous mutant appears. Daniel tries to outrun the vine monster, leaving Will trapped behind. Lucas and Max manage to rescue him, while Nikki uses a new gadget called a Light Blaster to blast the mutant back.

Meanwhile, El is pulled deeper into the sewers by the vines. The rest of the group heads off to find her, but she suddenly appears and saves them just as Daniel is about to sacrifice Nikki to the creature. Daniel, covered in green goo, is eventually eaten by the creature, which grows stronger as a result. However, no one seems to care about his fate.

The creature opens the gate to the Upside Down, prompting El to jump in and realize that she needs to stop it. However, with numerous little mutants running around, the gang is distracted and forced to fight for their lives. The rest of the group fights off the little mutants and uses Nikki's gear to turn the tide. With the gate too strong and all hope seemingly lost, it falls on Nikki to use her Light Bringer once again to give El enough time to close the gate and destroy the Queen.

The episode ends with a dramatic showdown between El and the Queen, as she finally manages to defeat her and close the gate to the Upside Down. The scene is filled with tension and suspense, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats until the final moment.

As the threat posed by the Gate is finally quelled and the gate closed, the narrative cuts forward three weeks, painting a new scene atop a cabin where Hopper and El are seen lounging. Hopper apologizes for not spending as much time together and suggests extending her curfew, which allows El to join Mike and his gang in playing D&D. Notably, Nikki is present and invited into the group, where we see them all engaging in camaraderie and having fun together through games.

However, the threat from the Upside Down is far from over. The remnants of the Queen wind up sprouting a bizarre, ominous blue flower with a grotesque face that snarls maniacally. Uh oh, it seems like trouble is brewing once again in this eerie parallel world.
