Sugar – Season 1 Episode 4 1

Sugar inquiries Ruby about Stallings, but Ruby brushes it off, insisting that Stallings isn't connected to the case. She doesn't want Sugar digging any deeper into the matter. Elsewhere, Sugar's mother bids the boys farewell with a tender goodbye, only to reveal later that the entire scenario was a clever ruse orchestrated by Sugar himself, who was fully aware of Davy's antics.

Returning to his hotel room, Sugar finds Melanie waiting for him, her expression grave. She confesses that she's remembered something significant - Olivia had canceled plans with her to meet another young girl. Melanie had spied them together near Silver Lake, and the other girl appeared deeply distraught. Without delay, Sugar and Melanie embark on a search for this mysterious girl.

At a nearby shop, a staff girl recognizes Olivia as the friend of a struggling actress named Taylor. The pair quickly locate Taylor, who reveals that she had auditioned for a role in Bernie's film years ago. She had mentioned it to Davy, who had then begun texting her relentlessly. When she ignored his messages, he retaliated by sending her a tape of them sleeping together, a tape from years past.

Taylor explains that Davy threatened to publish the video, and even the police refused to assist her. Desperate, she had reached out to Olivia on Instagram, spilling her heart out. As they leave, Melanie appears visibly shaken by what they have learned. Sugar offers her comfort, his gaze filled with empathy and determination to bring justice to Taylor.

On his journey back home, Davy reached out to his mother, Margit, over the phone and poured out everything he had learned from 'Sugar's mother'. Margit advised him to refrain from sharing the information with his father, for now. Meanwhile, Sugar expressed a desire to meet Jonathan, but his secretary cleverly diverted him with a movie ticket.

Sugar arrived at the theatre, eager to confront Jonathan. After the screening, Jonathan grudgingly agreed to talk with Sugar. Just before that encounter, Sugar chanced upon Margit and Bernie, and inquisitively asked Bernie about Davy. But Bernie's attention was quickly snatched away by Wendy, his wife. Suddenly, Melanie entered the scene and disappeared with Bernie into a private corner. Curious, Sugar sneaked into a room backstage and watched the two conversing through the security camera footage.

The movie, "Winds of Change," starring the renowned actress Lorraine Everly and produced by Jonathan, came to an end. While Jonathan was addressing the audience on stage, a bombshell news report broke out about Davy's sexual harassment scandal. Davy, too, caught wind of the revelation. Moments later, he received a menacing call from Stallings, warning him to keep his name out of the cops' and lawyers' ears. Suddenly, Jonathan collapsed on stage, needing immediate medical attention.

Stallings issued orders to his men, instructing them to investigate Sugar and Melanie. As he exited, the only person left in his house was a woman, to whom he handed a set of keys.

Sugar revealed that Jonathan had suffered a heart attack but fortunately survived. He was now back in his hotel room, brooding over the compromising photos of Rachel. Rachel was dressed in the same gown Lorraine wore in the movie, but three decades later.

Meanwhile, the woman left alone in Stallings' house rummaged through a cupboard. She unearthed a necklace adorned with a cross and put it on. Sugar, meanwhile, stumbled upon an Instagram video of Olivia, where she expressed her suspicion that someone was keeping tabs on her. Intriguingly, she was wearing the exact same necklace that the woman had just put on at the end of Sugar Episode 4.
