Episode 6 of "Sunny" commences with a mischievous act as Noriko slyly pilfers a salacious magazine from a nearby shop. She marches right back in, her basket filling up swiftly with an assortment of groceries and beverages, all while the clerk watches, helpless and amused.

Sunny – Season 1 Episode 6 1

As this drama unfolds, Mixxy and Suzie arrive at the police station, brandishing their ominous note. The scene is comically awkward, the officer's neck in a cast forcing Suzie to perch uncomfortably close to Mixxy to avoid the officer's strained neck movements. Suzie painstakingly describes Sunny's appearance, only for Mixxy to abruptly excuse herself mid-sentence, her attention diverted by an urgent phone call.

The detective, unfazed, dismisses the matter as a mere case of a missing domestic robot, unrelated to the shadowy yakuza underworld. She gently nudges Suzie towards the lost and found department, leaving Suzie with a strained smile and little choice but to comply.

Outside, Mixxy hurries to explain that a work emergency demands her immediate departure. But just as she prepares to leave, a tiny, yet formidable figure intervenes—Takemaro, the lovable mascot, who thrusts a clue about Sunny's whereabouts into their hands. With a stern demeanor, he issues an ultimatum: meet at the Mizonofuchi vegetable stand within the next quarter hour, or face the consequences.

Sunny stands as Suzie's sole beacon of her enigmatic past, driving her resolutely towards the humble vegetable stand, heedless of Mixxy's desperate pleas. Upon arrival, Suzie finds herself abruptly bundled into the van's shadowy confines, whisked away to the enigmatic presence of Hime. Bound and bruised, Suzie remains steadfast, her mind seething with accusations, convinced that Hime holds the key to unraveling the tragic mysteries of their past.

Hime, a master of manipulation, delights in provoking Suzie, taunting her about Masa's profession, a world she claims to admire yet Suzie knows little of. The cruel irony is that Suzie's ignorance of her husband's life's work is painted as a sign of her own loneliness and detachment.

At the heart of this intricate dance, Hime's true intentions emerge—access to Masa's laptop, a fortress Suzie's face cannot penetrate. Suzie employs every tactic to stall, weaving tales of yakuza intrigue overheard in steamy saunas, warning of unseen dangers lurking in the shadows. Yet, when Mixxy's safety hangs in the balance, Suzie's resolve falters, and the laptop's secrets are reluctantly unveiled, sending her back to an empty home, Mixxy safe but Sunny absent.

That same night, the police's knock shatters the stillness, revealing Noriko's arrest for shoplifting and disorderly conduct—a stark reminder of the chaos lurking beneath the surface, etched in bold beneath her name on the police blotter.

Meanwhile, as Suzie's absence casts a pall over the house, Mixxy's discovery of another urgent note propels her into action. The summons to Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple echoes with urgency, and Mixxy sets out, only to find Sunny in a bizarre, orange-hued state, as if illuminated by an otherworldly glow. Returning with the malfunctioning bot, the mystery deepens, weaving a web of intrigue that threatens to engulf them all.
