On the 22nd of August, Thursday, Billboard unveiled an exclusive feature with ASAP Rocky, delving into his intricate bond with Rihanna, his role as a father, his imminent musical endeavors, and a myriad of other facets. During the interview, he candidly acknowledged his lyrical diss aimed at Drake, featured prominently on Future and Metro Boomin's hit "Show of Hands," where he rhymed, "Niggas caught up in emotions over women, huh? You hurt or something? I bagged her before your son saw the light, Flacko got there first, kid."

"You gotta comprehend, some dudes have been throwing jabs for ages," he elaborated to the publication. "I'm not in the midst of that petty squabble. That's not my style of retaliation these days. I've got bigger battles to wage than squabbling over women. There's real beef out there, it's genuine. People are getting hurt and eliminated daily. It's a constant shootout, and that catty stuff is inconsequential."

Flashback to May, when Drake retaliated against his former comrade on "Family Matters," a track that also targeted friendships turned sour with Rick Ross, The Weeknd, and notably, Kendrick Lamar. The OVO superstar spat, "Rakim talking trash again, puffed up because you got with my girl first. Do the math, who was I with then? I didn't even know you were still rapping, all they talk about is your fits again. Probably gotta have another kid before you think of dropping anything decent again. Even when you do, they'll say you should've modeled instead, cause it's mediocre."

Elsewhere in the Billboard conversation, Rocky shed light on his highly anticipated fourth studio album, Don't Be Dumb, which has been pushed back to grace our ears sometime this autumn. "Right now, it's shrouded in a somber aura," he explained, offering a cryptic glimpse into the album's essence. "It's a fusion of German expressionism and ghetto futurism." The ASAP Mob leader further disclosed that the project has garnered the nod of approval from renowned director Tim Burton and boasts contributions from esteemed composer Danny Elfman, adding a unique layer of artistic depth.
