The second episode of "Tastefully Yours" kicks off with a nostalgic flashback to a couple of years ago, where Yeon-joo is shown a potential site for her restaurant by her landlady. Enchanted by the spot, she instantaneously seals the deal. To mark the joyous occasion, the landlady presents Yeon-joo with her cherished sunhat.
Flash forward to the present, Beom-woo makes another attempt to persuade Yeon-joo to ink the deal for Hansang’s acquisition. Unimpressed, she rips the contract apart and suggests that she might reconsider if he works at the restaurant for a month. Aware of his company's gradual estrangement, Beom-woo reluctantly agrees.
They draft a fresh contract, stipulating that Beom-woo will toil for a month, post which he will personally invest in the eatery. Yeon-joo retains sole authority over the kitchen, while Beom-woo takes charge of the dining area. However, later scenes reveal Beom-woo confiding in a colleague that his true intent is to swipe Yeon-joo’s recipes and utilize them for a separate, upscale restaurant.
Meanwhile, Yeon-joo is seen meeting a mysterious man in a dimly lit alley, giving the impression of an illicit transaction. Beom-woo stumbles upon them and learns that the encounter is actually about procuring homemade chili powder from the village’s grocer. Unfortunately, Yeon-joo lacks the funds to pay him, prompting the grocer to reclaim his goods.
Distraught, Yeon-joo sheds tears at home, prompting Beom-woo to offer advice on cost-cutting measures. He urges her to hire assistance, but she rejects his suggestions outright. Instead, she enlists Jin Myung-sook, a seasoned local who has spent 15 years at a nearby gukbap restaurant.
This development irks Beom-woo, leading to another heated exchange with Yeon-joo. She mocks him about his pledge to acquire new tables, prompting him to vow to deliver them by dawn. He heads to a hotel to book a room for the night, only to face an unwelcome revelation — his company has revoked his credit card and reclaimed his vehicles.
Cornered with no money to his name, Beom-woo finds himself compelled to part with his stylish foreign jacket to Sam-sik, the proprietor of a quaint inn, in exchange for a night's lodging. He now dons Sam-sik's worn football jersey, a stark contrast to his former attire.
The following morning, Beom-woo barters his luxurious timepiece for a modest set of tables and chairs to furnish the restaurant. Desperate to attract patronage, he reaches out to his contacts, only to be met with a resounding chorus of busy schedules. Throughout the day, tensions flare between Beom-woo and Myung-sook, with clashes becoming all too frequent.
When a social media influencer offers to promote the restaurant, an ill-timed dispute between Beom-woo and Yeon-joo over table settings derails the opportunity. Matters worsen when Myung-sook accidentally spills kimchi onto the freshly acquired tables, pushing Beom-woo over the edge. Frustrated beyond measure, he storms out of the establishment.
Fortuitously, the kind grocer from earlier and his companion, the local butcher, stumble upon a dejected Beom-woo and invite him out for a drink to lift his spirits. As a gesture of goodwill, the grocer presents him with a mysterious bag.
Upon returning to the restaurant, Beom-woo discovers the tables meticulously cleaned and adorned with charming plates by Yeon-joo. She thoughtfully offers him a fresh T-shirt, mindful of his current attire—an outdated football jersey. To mend fences, Beom-woo shares the grocer's bag with his colleagues, revealing it to contain his renowned chili powder.
Not long after, the grocer and the butcher arrive with a contingent of their soccer team, filling the restaurant with lively camaraderie. The meal is a resounding success, and in the aftermath, the trio of employees decides to celebrate with a team dinner of their own.
However, their path is abruptly obstructed by a parked car. A young man by the name of Chun-seung emerges and attempts to persuade Myung-sook to accompany him back to the gukbap restaurant. He falsely accuses Beom-woo and Yeon-joo of dangling the carrot of a significant pay raise and a chef's position in front of Myung-sook, which is far from the truth. The trio then heads out for a drink, where Myung-sook reveals that she had employed a bluff with the other restaurant, anticipating they would beg her to stay and sweeten the deal. To her dismay, she was instead dismissed despite her 15 years of loyal service. Ironically, the individual who confronted them turned out to be the owner's son. In a gesture of recognition, Yeon-joo promptly promotes Myung-sook to chef on the spot, acknowledging her exceptional skills. They toast their glasses in jubilant celebration. Meanwhile, Chun-seung faces a tongue-lashing from his father for failing to bring Myung-sook back.
As Yeon-joo and Beom-woo indulge in a friendly drinking contest, aiming to outdo each other, Beom-woo's high spirits diminish upon stumbling upon an article announcing Young-hye's new role at La Lecel, Han-woo's restaurant. Incensed, Beom-woo dials Young-hye and lambasts her for abandoning him in favor of his brother. Observing this scene, Yeon-joo mistakenly assumes he's venting about a romantic betrayal. Soon after, Chun-seung reappears, equally intoxicated. When he lays a hand on Yeon-joo, Beom-woo jumps to her defense, initiating a brawl with Chun-seung. Yeon-joo swiftly disables Chun-seung with ease. Turning her attention to Beom-woo, she inquiries about the true purpose behind his presence there.
