Episode 4 of "Tastefully Yours" unfolds with Beom-woo juggling his interactions with both Yeon-joo and Young-hye. As Young-hye attempts to divulge the truth about Beom-woo to Yeon-joo, he swiftly intercepts, portraying Young-hye as his ex-lover and whisking her away. In private, Beom-woo confesses to Young-hye that Yeon-joo is a chef, one whose culinary prowess surpasses hers.
That very night, Beom-woo finds himself engrossed in thoughts of Yeon-joo. The next morning, he's astonishment knows no bounds when he discovers that Yeon-joo is now a next-door neighbor, her residence having been reduced to ashes. Together, they venture out to prepare for the upcoming food festival competition.
Beom-woo's frustration intensifies when Yeon-joo decides on gimbap for the festival, steadfastly refusing to incorporate any exotic ingredients. At the festival site, Myung-sook and Chun-seung have rented a sorry-looking truck, the sole affordable option for them. Beom-woo and Yeon-joo soon join their ranks. However, a rude awakening awaits Beom-woo as he realizes that Hansang has unexpectedly decided to sponsor the festival.
He's confronted by Sun-woo, who boldly hikes the festival's prize money to ten million Won and drops another bombshell on Beom-woo – La Lecel is also participating. Beom-woo confronts Young-hye about this development, and she reveals her motive: to ascertain if Yeon-joo truly outclasses her as a chef. To add another layer of complexity, Beom-woo is further startled to see Manager Lee Yu-jin lending Young-hye a helping hand.
The food festival has commenced, yet Jungjae’s carrot gimbap truck stands deserted, a lonely figure amidst the bustling event. Just when all hope seems lost, Beom-woo arrives, brandishing boxes filled with beef and an assortment of other ingredients. He proposes a menu overhaul, and Yeon-joo, albeit reluctantly, concurs. Utilizing the ham and beef, she conjures up inventive varieties of gimbap that prove to be an instant hit, selling out the truck in no time. The triumph is sealed with an emotional hug between Beom-woo and Yeon-joo, which swiftly morphs into an awkward embrace. They pack up and head home, mindful that one crucial day of competition remains.
Elsewhere, Sun-woo expresses his disappointment in Young-hye’s performance, informing her that a guest will accompany her the following day. Meanwhile, Yeon-joo discovers a lighter amidst the ruins of her charred kitchen. She presents it to Beom-woo, who swiftly disclaims ownership. They proceed to the second day of the food festival, where Park Koon, a Hansang-sponsored singer, makes a grand entrance for a mesmerizing performance. Hansang further enhances the excitement by erecting a banner advertising a meet-and-greet session with the singer, strategically positioned near the La Lecel food truck.
This provokes Beom-woo into confronting Young-hye, tensions flaring. Yeon-joo intercedes, gently guiding Beom-woo back to their truck. Despite their presence, sales remain sluggish, prompting Chun-seung to suggest they offer a homemade drink called moju. This sweet, non-alcoholic beverage, brewed with traditional herbs, promises a unique and refreshing taste.
At that precise moment, a familiar face from their past patrons appeared, craving the customary gimbap amidst a flurry of fancy trucks peddling their over-the-top versions. Yeon-joo's heart swelled with joy. The humble gimbap, adorned with Yeon-joo's mouthwatering carrots, swiftly emerged as a sensation. Its popularity skyrocketed further thanks to Chun-seung's invigorating moju. To boost sales, Chun-seung and Myung-sook cleverly deceived the eager crowd, whispering tales of Yeon-joo and Beom-woo being married, anticipating a bundle of joy, and struggling financially.
As the votes poured in for the food trucks, La Lecel and Jungjae surged ahead in the race. However, to their dismay, Young-hye's food truck clinched the competition and the prize money, relegating Jungjae to a heartbreaking second place.
The Jungjae team is visibly disturbed, with Chun-seung steadfastly asserting that foul play must have been involved in the outcome, stirring Beom-woo's suspicions as well. He confronts Sun-woo head-on, leveling an accusation of arson against him for the restaurant blaze. Yet, Sun-woo maintains a blanket of ignorance, denying any involvement.
On his return journey, Young-hye teases Beom-woo about his victory over her, adding fuel to the fire by commenting on his seemingly budding affection for Yeon-joo. Her perception shifts drastically when she samples Yeon-joo's gimbap, realizing its exceptional quality.
Elsewhere, Beom-woo catches Yeon-joo in the midst of a lively game of ddakji with some children, emerging victorious. As the kids eagerly chase her, she grabs Beom-woo's hand and dashes away, leading to an unexpected confrontation. Words fly heatedly between them, and in a moment of frustration, Beom-woo's feelings spill over—he confesses his crush on Yeon-joo. Without further hesitation, he draws her close, his lips sealing the revelation with a tender kiss.
