Later, amidst the tranquil ambiance of the inn, Beom-woo taps gently on Yeon-joo's door, only to find her stealthily hidden behind a wall, peeking out at him with an air of mischief and embarrassment. The following day, Myung-sook and Chun-seung can't resist teasing their fellow colleagues about the kiss, their laughter echoing through the air. Yeon-joo, her cheeks blushing, quickly clarifies that it was a mere slip of the tongue—or lip, rather—and Beom-woo, caught between amusement and embarrassment, reluctantly concurs.

The restaurant's atmosphere shifts gears when a charming French woman and a gentlemanly Korean man walk in. Beom-woo surprises everyone, including Yeon-joo, by greeting them fluently in French. To everyone's astonishment, Yeon-joo reveals her own proficiency in the language. The couple reveals their wish to book a table for their parents' official meeting, a prospect that fills Yeon-joo with trepidation, as her kitchen isn't quite up to scratch. However, with Beom-woo's persuasive charm, she eventually caves in.

As night descends, Yeon-joo finds herself pondering over the French woman's words. Her mother harbors a dislike for Korean cuisine, while her fiancé's father is a staunch advocate of traditional Korean flavors. Flipping through her recipe book, Yeon-joo's frustration mounts when Beom-woo's image seemingly leaps out from the pages, adding a comic twist to her trouble-filled evening.

She ventures out and discovers a drunken Beom-woo slumped on the pavement, insisting on an explanation for her declaration that their kiss was a mere mistake. Their words clash, and amidst the debate, Beom-woo challenges her to accompany him on a single date. Though she firmly declines, he persists, setting their appointment for the evening subsequent to the arrival of the French couple. The following morning, Beom-woo arrives with Jungjae uniforms tailored for every staff member.

The narrative shifts to Jeon Min, the esteemed chef of the Japanese eatery, Le Murir. He partakes of his own culinary creation aboard a plane, only to find that the airline staff has neglected to adhere to the precise preparation instructions furnished by his restaurant, rendering the fish unpleasantly salty. In response, he informs the hostess that Le Murir will sever ties with their collaboration.

Back in town, Beom-woo and Yeon-joo visit the butcher to procure some meat. Their conversation reveals how Beom-woo, once brash and money-obsessed, has evolved into a more humane individual. Yeon-joo's smile wanes upon encountering Min outside her restaurant. Despite his attempts to engage her in dialogue, her tears silence him, urging him to depart. A fleeting memory resurfaces, portraying their happier days working side by side at Le Murir.

Later, Beom-woo crosses paths with Min outside the restaurant, but they are soon diverted by incoming patrons. As the day draws to a close, Min retries his hand at speaking with Yeon-joo, and she reluctantly agrees. While they confer in private, Myung-sook reveals to the others a photograph of Yeon-joo and Min Jeon at Le Murir, along with a certificate from the Culinary Institute of America, adding a layer of intrigue to the scenario.

Inside, Min Jeon offered an apology for her decision to stay at Le Murir, acknowledging it was her choice despite her urging to leave. With a tender expression, she added that she had missed him deeply. A memory resurfaced, depicting the head chef of Le Murir furiously inquiring about the ruined pufferfish dish. It was Min who had messed it up, but Yeon-joo, out of loyalty, bore the blame and was compelled to resign.

The following day, Le Murir was reserved for a French couple, accompanied by the woman's parents and the man's father. A palpable tension filled the air, as the parents struggled to communicate with one another. The man's father initially refused to taste the first dish, deeming it untraditional Korean fare. However, the allure of the second dumpling dish and Chun-seung's makgeolli soon won him over. The subsequent courses, meticulously crafted by Yeon-joo to blend the culinary essence of both cultures, served as a catalyst, melting away the tension and fostering a sense of unity among the families. They departed with broad smiles, their hearts warmed by the shared culinary experience.

As Beom-woo attempted to remind Yeon-joo about their date, Min's unexpected arrival interrupted him. Yeon-joo instructed her teammates to carry on without her, promising to meet Beom-woo by 9 pm.

Once they had left, Yeon-joo prepared a meal that they used to create from leftovers during their time in France. She confessed that while she cherished her time at Murir, she was more hurt by Min's silence afterward. He gently reassured her that they could recapture those magical moments.

The scene then shifted to Beom-woo waiting patiently on the street. Yeon-joo arrived, and he led her to a cozy rooftop setup, where they watched a movie on a projector. A flashback revealed the lengths he had gone to—chopping numerous onions for a vegetable vendor to secure permission to use the rooftop for their special night.

Yeon-joo eventually succumbs to slumber, her head lolling gently as Beom-woo thoughtfully drapes a jacket over her shoulders. As dawn breaks into day, they find themselves at a cozy café, where Yeon-joo finds herself curious about Beom-woo's apparent lack of inquiry about Min. She confessionally unveils her past—an orphan abandoned by a hermitage, her fondness for culinary arts leading her to Le Murir in Japan, where she crossed paths with Min, sharing both love and meals. However, she resolutely declares her intention to remain rooted where she stands, defying Min's plea to return to their former workplace.

The following morning, a shockwave ripples through Beom-woo and his companions upon discovering Yeon-joo's note, elegantly inscribed with her intent to journey to Sapporo, Japan, kindly requesting them to hold down the fort in the kitchen during her absence. The image of Yeon-joo, poised and expectant at a bus stop, fills the air with a tangible sense of anticipation. A text notification chirps on her phone, Min's message confronting her with the reality of a 4 PM flight.
