Tastefully Yours – K-drama Episode 8 1

Just as the aroma of her masterpieces begins to waft through the air, Beom-woo frantically dashes to the restaurant, his heart pounding in vain as he arrives mere moments too late. Confronting Young-hye with fiery eyes, he's met with her calm demeanor and a pointed reminder—every trick she knows, she learned from him. With a flick of her wrist, she tosses the recipe book onto the table, leaving him behind as she strides out with a sense of accomplishment.

Meanwhile, at Jungjae, Yeon-joo discovers a note from Beom-woo, his handwriting conveying regretful words of illness that keep him away. Elsewhere, Myung-sook's anger simmers over Chun-seung's inexplicable absence from work the previous day, their spat igniting a fiery atmosphere. Amidst their heated exchange, Yeon-joo catches wind of Young-hye's unexpected visit to the city.

As the night drapes its veil over the city, Beom-woo makes a stealthy return to Jungjae, carefully sliding Yeon-joo's recipe book back into its drawer. But fate has other plans; Yeon-joo catches him in the act, her eyes softening as she places a bowl of comforting porridge in his hands, a gesture of care amidst their tumultuous circumstances.

The following day, Chun-seung and Myung-sook chose to skip work, their dispute showing no signs of abating. Sensing the need for a break to rejuvenate their spirits, Yeon-joo decided that a vacation was in order for all of them. During their workday, an unusual customer placed an order for a full meal yet left untouched, his only payment a stack of cash accompanied by a crimson lighter. Beom-woo's memory suddenly flickered back to the protestor who had stood outside Hansang, the very man he had deceived. He also recalled a half-molten red lighter discovered amidst the charred remains of Jungjae.

Without hesitation, Beom-woo borrowed a truck from a nearby vegetable vendor and set off in pursuit of the elusive figure. He tracked him down to a dimly lit warehouse, where he confronted him head-on. The man confessed that his 93-day protest outside Hansang had gone unnoticed, prompting him to torch Jungjae in a fit of frustration. He further revealed that Jungjae was but another victim in Beom-woo's pattern of destroyed restaurants.

Later, Beom-woo was reunited with his mother, Chairwoman Han, who was already aware of the arsonist's identity. She urged him to shut down Jungjae and return to Motto, citing the positive feedback the Diamant inspectors had given their cuisine. However, Beom-woo begged for more time to ponder his next move.

Beom-woo realized that he owed Yeon-joo the truth, but as the team embarked on their much-needed vacation, the words stuck in his throat. To everyone's surprise, Yeon-joo had not led them to a luxurious pool villa but to a serene temple. She introduced them to a monk who had played a pivotal role in her upbringing. After a fulfilling day immersed in temple rituals, Beom-woo and Yeon-joo found a quiet moment to converse under the night sky.

Yeon-joo expressed her earnest desire for Beom-woo to meet the head monk, whom she held dear as her second mother. It was under her mother's influence that Yeon-joo developed a passionate love for cuisine. Curious about Beom-woo's background, she inquired about his story, but he hesitated, finding it difficult to unfold his tale.

Some time later, Sun-woo received a text from Beom-woo, announcing his decision not to return to Motto and abandoning his aspiration to become Hansang's heir. Meanwhile, Motto garnered an impressive three Diamant stars, marking a significant milestone.

Upon Team Jungjae's return, Beom-woo finally sought out Yeon-joo to share his transformation. As he began to elaborate on his changes, Yeon-joo, unable to contain her emotions, interrupted him with a tender kiss. Just before Beom-woo could confess his feelings, Sun-woo barged into the restaurant, threatening to expose a startling truth.

Beom-woo confessed to Yeon-joo that his initial intention was to deceive her by stealing her recipes and shutting down the restaurant. Sun-woo then revealed that her dish had already propelled Motto to achieve the prestigious three-star rating. Devastated by the revelation, Yeon-joo was filled with immense sorrow and angrily instructed Beom-woo to leave.
