Taxi Driver – Season 3 Episode 11 1

Kyung-koo returns to headquarters and discovers that Go-eun, Do-gi, and Jin-eon are either busy or resting. Frustrated and determined to help Da-som, he decides to take matters into his own hands. However, one week goes by, and none of the team members have heard from Kyung-koo. Do-gi reveals that Sung-chul is also trying to get in touch with Kyung-koo, who is still AWOL. Just then, Jin-eon notices Kyung-koo watching them from a distance and approaches him.

Kyung-koo breaks down crying and is called in for an intervention with the entire team. The group learns how Kyung-koo tried to trap the scammer along with Da-som and Maria. He claims that he tried to nab the seller online and reported them as well, but to no avail. Do-gi and Go-eun set out to investigate and visit the address that the seller mentioned on his online profile. Inside the abandoned house, Go-eun finds a woman attempting to end her own life. Do-gi and Go-eun take the unconscious woman, Yoo Min-jung, to the hospital.

Once Min-jung wakes up, the two speak to her and learn about everything she has been through because of an online phishing racket. Min-jung reveals that she ordered a second-hand baby cot from an online shopping site when she was pregnant. Instead of the cot, she received a brick and tried to register a complaint. The cops claim that the seller used a burner phone to list the product online and say that they cannot help her.

Worried that her husband will be upset over the expense, Min-jung is distressed by the lack of help from the police. The scene paints a vivid picture of her despair and highlights the devastating effects of online scams on innocent victims like Min-jung.

She penned a post on the marketplace about her experience with the seller, but soon, bizarre messages and phone calls began pouring in. As time went on, she started receiving multiple food deliveries simultaneously and was asked to pay for them. Various individuals also started showing up at Min-jung's house, accusing her of being a scammer. Min-jung tried changing her phone and number, but the relentless calls and messages persisted. The scammer even contacted her on her new number and sent her a photo of himself.

When Min-jung tried to alert the police, a cop claimed that there were several fraudulent reports against her. Moving to a different house didn't help either, as the scammer continued to harass her by sending deliveries to her new address. She begged for forgiveness but was met with a demand for $30,000. The stress from all of this eventually led to her suffering a miscarriage, losing her baby.

At Rainbow Taxi headquarters, the team discussed Min-jung's case, but Go-eun pointed out that they had nothing on the scammer since he had used proxy networks at all times. Do-gi stated that they had a voice recording of the scammer from one of Min-jung's conversations with him. They decided to find the person who took the photo of Min-jung that was sent to her. Jin-eon and Do-gi discovered that the photo was taken from a nearby building. Go-eun reviewed the CCTV footage from the building and narrowed it down to a man leaving with a professional camera. She confirmed that the man worked for a private detective agency.

Do-gi visits the Modu Detective Agency and unceremoniously confronts the owner, who is promptly intimidated into divulging the name of the person who requested Min-jung's photo. The man's only lead is a mysterious phone number, which Do-gi promptly takes back to Rainbow Taxi headquarters. There, it is revealed to be Kyung-koo's phone number. The group reaches a stalemate with no new leads, but Do-gi points out that this appears to be a sophisticated phishing syndicate run by a large group rather than a single scammer.

Go-eun suggests setting a trap by luring the scammers in. She proposes creating a fake ticket sale website for the upcoming Elements concert and boosting a post on the marketplace asking for 50 VIP tickets with bot comments. Once the post goes viral, a scammer takes an interest and reaches out to Do-gi. He claims to have 50 VIP backstage tickets. When Do-gi asks for proof, the scammer purchases a ticket on the fake site, giving Go-eun access to his location.

Do-gi shows up at a restaurant and tracks a young boy texting him. He calls the number to confirm the scammer's identity and demands the tickets in person. The boy asks for time and has his friend call Do-gi to insist on courier delivery instead. Do-gi refuses and follows the boy to a study club. He steals the boy's bicycle and forces him into the taxi. Do-gi kidnaps the scammer and takes him to a makeshift torture chamber. There, Kyung-koo and Jin-eon threaten him while Do-gi demands to know who he is working for.

The boy reveals that the person threatening Min-jung is a general manager he has never met. They attempt to get more information from him, but realize they have nothing on the man. The episode ends with the same man monitoring stocks for the betting site, Nari Coin. He traps and tortures a puppy he has kidnapped.

The entire scenario is filled with tension and suspense, as each move by the characters is carefully thought out and executed to their fullest potential. The language used is precise and descriptive, painting a vivid picture of the events unfolding in front of us.
