The next morning, Seong-uk launches an assault on Ji-hoon during his run, inflicting serious injuries. Ji-hoon, unaware of Seong-uk's role as the attacker, later accepts his coach's sympathies when he visits him in the hospital. Seong-uk provides Ji-hoon with funds for treatment and advises him to concentrate on his recovery.

Concurrently, Dong-hyeon calls Seong-uk to the gym to explain how he lost ownership of it through a betting game. That night, Seong-uk confronts Dong-hyeon and beats him for his costly mistake, handing him more cash and ordering him to gamble again and reclaim the gym.

Meanwhile, Go-eun enlightens the Rainbow Crew on the betting site's operation via a blockchain network with its host server located overseas. She reveals that she has successfully decrypted the network, granting her complete access. Do-gi urges her to keep the site running for now, as their primary objective is to locate Park Min-ho's remains.

Do-gi returns to the gambling parlour within the funeral home and intentionally loses a rigged match, allowing Dong-hyeon to regain control of the gym. Disturbed by this turn of events, Dong-hyeon demands an explanation. Do-gi introduces himself as Park Min-ho and leads him into the gym's secret betting room, revealing the true nature of his mission.

Pretending to embrace trust in him, Do-gi boldly declares that Dong-hyeon has already divulged all the business secrets. He expresses his ambition to amass as much wealth as possible and requests an introduction to Seong-uk. Though uneasy, Dong-hyeon informs Seong-uk of the gym's resurgence and Park Min-ho's desire to meet him. He attempts to distance himself from Do-gi repeatedly, but Do-gi clings on relentlessly.

Later, Go-eun elucidates to Do-gi, Kyung-koo, and Jin-eon how Seong-uk employs coded signals during games, manipulating betting outcomes and ensuring the site's profitability by inducing Yeon-tae to miss shots or inflict injuries on other players. They conclude that these deliberate misses and injuries are part of a carefully crafted plan.

To push their scheme forward, Do-gi requests Go-eun to draw closer to Yeon-tae. She flirts with him in the cafeteria, in full view of his teammates, and secretly installs spyware on his phone, granting her unfettered access.

Kyung-koo plants a diary containing cash near a urinal. Yeon-tae finds it and is elated by the money, but his serenity is disrupted when he discovers detailed notes about several players, including himself.

In an attempt to trace the diary's owner, Yeon-tae stumbles upon Lorenzo Kim, an international scouting agent for the Euro League volleyball championship. He searches for Lorenzo online and discovers several fabricated articles, all crafted by Go-eun.

To further solidify the illusion, Do-gi borrows a vintage luxury car from Sung-chul's collection and uses it to impress Yeon-tae. During the game, Yeon-tae plays with all his might in the hopes of catching the scout's attention. Go-eun alerts Do-gi that Dong-hyeon is also present at the sports club. Do-gi approaches him with urgency, pressing him to arrange a meeting with Seong-uk.

After the game, Do-gi and Jin-eon stage a performance as Lorenzo Kim and an international photographer, making it seem as though Yeon-tae is being seriously considered for the Euro League.

Simultaneously, Dong-hyeon introduces Seong-uk to the "new" Park Min-ho, unaware that this revelation enrages Seong-uk to the point of fury. Seong-uk, outraged by the disclosure of their betting operation's details, decides that Min-ho must be eliminated. He invites Do-gi to a meeting that night, sensing a trap. Anticipating the ambush, Do-gi alerts the Rainbow Crew and requests a different vehicle. As he drives to the location, construction vehicles pounce on him from all sides, forcing him onto a service road. The car is relentlessly attacked, eventually crashing and bursting into flames. Seong-uk and Dong-hyeon watch the footage and celebrate, believing Min-ho is dead.

However, Do-gi had anticipated the ambush and, during a sharp turn, jumped out of the car, leaving it to crash on autopilot. The next day, Do-gi reappears at the game under the alias Lorenzo Kim. Yeon-tae plays confidently and ignores Seong-uk's signals, putting on an impressive performance for the scout and effectively ruining the betting scheme. Do-gi deliberately calls Dong-hyeon to provoke him further.

Seong-uk confronts Yeon-tae about disobeying instructions, but Yeon-tae insists that he is about to be scouted. Seong-uk dismisses this as impossible. After the match, Yeon-tae demands that Seong-uk apologize to Park Min-ho, following Do-gi's instructions.

Dong-hyeon then arrives and reveals that Min-ho is still alive, sending Seong-uk into a panic as he sees a man wearing Park Min-ho's jersey and begins to question reality. Manipulated into believing his friend may never have died, Seong-uk decides to visit Min-ho's grave to confirm the truth.

The episode concludes with Do-gi informing Sung-chul that he has located Park Min-ho's remains, while Seong-uk urgently calls someone to report the disturbing events surrounding Min-ho's supposed return.
