Tehran – Season 3 Episode 3

Published: Jan 27 2026

Episode 3 of Tehran's third season opens with Tamar, labeled a troublemaker, at the police station. Daria and her boyfriend, Aslan, have clearly struck a nerve with her, especially since she's shown up outside without a headscarf—not a move that sits well with the authorities. The Owl arrives at the station shortly after, playing the role of a doting father watching over his daughter. He manages to get Tamar out, but not before Dalia passes out. In her unconscious state, Tamar decides to use this as an opportunity, passing her off to the Owl and claiming this is his daughter. The Owl has no choice but to grit his teeth and accept it.

Tehran – Season 3 Episode 3 1

Tamar finds herself behind bars with corrupt officers who are just waiting to rough up some women. But she's not going down without a fight, and of all people, Faraz is the one to show up. Tamar apologizes, claiming she wants to help with his "computer problem."

Faraz takes Tamar to the station and demands she undo what she's done to the computer, given Larijani is breathing down his neck. When the scan identifies his phone, Faraz promises the first thing he'll do is shoot her.

Back home, Nahid messages her sister Ava, who's currently living in Norway. It gives her a way out, and of course, this feeds into what Tamar told her about leaving the country before it's too late.

However, a knock at the door brings in Mossad, who want to question her regarding an open case. Of course, Faraz has his own issues and completely ignores Nahid's calls, unaware of what's happening with her.

Tamar doesn't have much of a choice here, given Faraz is out of options. He guides her in with a gun pointed under his jacket, unaware that Nahid is actually in the building. Unfortunately, she's goaded into confessing she's responsible for the explosion at the funeral.

Faraz introduces her as Mrs. Fatemi, a person to handle a technical issue. However, time is of the essence since the system scan has already commenced. Tamar goes into "hacker mode" and manages to find the email. But to properly bypass the scan, she needs physical access to the computer.

Tamar has already hacked the security system, so Faraz's password won't be a hindrance. "Give it to me, and I'll go," Tamar pleads. The technician could return at any moment, so Faraz decides to go himself. As he steps in, he looks outside... and Tamar is nowhere to be seen.

As Tamar exits the building, she runs into Nahir. She promises to cover for Tamar but only if she can help her escape Iran. When she agrees, Nahir assists her in getting out.

Meanwhile, Eric Peterson is taken to Evin Prison in Tehran. The news reaches Mossad and the mainstream media. While Yulia is more concerned with resolving the issue of Tamar and the nuclear warheads, things inside the prison are not so carefree and relaxed.

Marcus is furious with Eric, calling him a relic. He's called away by guards, but Eric stands up for him and ends up fighting with one of them, who eventually throws him into solitary confinement.

Eric's case is receiving maximum exposure, and while there, he asks about his daughter. He also broaches the idea of admitting complete liability for everything in exchange for releasing all his colleagues from custody.

As it turns out, Eric Peterson grew up in apartheid South Africa, working for the authorities on their nuclear program. He then joined the AIA, where he served as an overseer on his own nuclear program. Since then, he's been working as an inspector in Iran.

The regime intends to use Peterson as leverage to shut down all nuclear inspections, making Tamar's mission all the more difficult.

Back at the station, the scan is complete just as Faraz drives out with Nahid. He receives a call confirming that the scan has returned with no trace. However, Nahid is at her wits' end and walks away from her husband. She returns home later that night, while Faraz shows up not long after.

As for Tamar, she's reunited with the Owl, who gives her a piece of her mind. Tamar explains that this was all part of her plan. She's discovered, through the General's computer, that the plan is to build a bomb and conduct a nuclear test.

Continuing her charade, Tamar next shows up to see Ramin Ghasemi. She questions him about what happened with Dalia, and given how she's keeping up the charade, Ramin actually hands her the medicine the shelter needs.

Tamar's intel leads her to a storage area in town next, where Ramin meets with a senior energy engineer, Jaafar Musavi. He's also the guy who handled the nuclear gear last episode. Unfortunately, they're not alone. Stepping out of another car is Eric Peterson, who can obviously give these guys and gals their bomb.
