In the second episode of Tehran season 3, the tension escalates as Tamar holds Faraz's wife, Nahid, at gunpoint. The bad blood between them is palpable, and Faraz is clearly not here to play games. He's also not fully in the loop about what's been happening, as he asks about Milad. Tamar plays along and claims that he's outside, waiting. However, she wasn't expecting Faraz's new partner at work, Behrouz, to show up. He has important information to share but is unable to get through to her. Nevertheless, I'm sure we'll see him again!

In the midst of this chaos, Yulia interrogates Talia over her involvement with Tamar. She threatens her with 15 years in prison and demands to know where Tamar is. Back at Faraz's place, Tamar forces Nahid and Faraz to work together and help her with the laptop. She reveals that the last message Marjan sent before she passed was sent to the General. It was a fail-safe to be sent automatically if she was betrayed.
There's an attachment here too, which happens to be a virus that can infect every computer in Sepah with evidence exposing Faraz as a traitor. The virus also triggers if it detects an external attack or can be done manually. The only solution is for Faraz to get to the General's computer and delete it. That's easier said than done, especially since the floor has no CCTV, given it's for high officials only.
Tamar forces him to play ball, deciding to guide her via telephone. When Faraz leaves, Nahid confronts Tamar about her lies regarding Milad. There's a brief moment of vulnerability, but of course, the real focus of this operation is on Faraz. He shows up at the Counter Intelligence office and straight into the General's office, at the computer.
Unfortunately, the operation is a dud. The email is a fake, and the Security Operation Center calls the telephone in the office. Faraz is forced to hurriedly clear his prints from everything and manages to evade capture.
The tension between these characters continues to build as they navigate their way through this dangerous situation. Each move they make has consequences that ripple throughout the entire situation. The stakes are high, and the outcome remains uncertain.
As Tamar steps away from Faraz's abode, she inadvertently walks straight into a swinging van door. The Owl, an unwelcome guest, captures her and ties her up. He leads her to a secluded spot and begins to interrogate her about the files she's glimpsed on Marjan's server.
Tamar's life hangs in the balance, and the Owl uses a myriad of tools and the threat of losing a finger to extract the information that the files are on a laptop. In the midst of the interrogation, Yulia commands the Owl to finish it, assuming Tamar can't reveal anything else. However, Tamar's mention of the warhead parts from the previous episode serves as a wildcard, stopping the Owl (and by extension, Mossad itself) from executing her.
Tamar retains her fingers and her life, though she's not entirely free. The Owl releases her but only as far as another cage. From now on, he'll be her handler, reporting to Yulia. With few other options, Tamar divulges what she knows about the shipments. She's temporarily freed from his "torture chamber," but it's certainly not the end of it.
Back at the shelter, Tara, a woman in labor, needs to go to the hospital. However, with an abusive husband, that's not an option. Tamar realizes she needs to help pay for it. At the same time, Tamar joins forces with the Owl to spy on Ramin Ghasemi, a man hand-picked by the General who should know everything about the shipment. She needs to get close and learn what she can... or else.
Tamar shows up to see Ramin, using the cover of a concerned woman in the shelter to try and secure some medicine. Before he agrees, Ramin invites her to come and eat with him. She does so, arguing with his methods. He suggests she come back in 24 hours, praising her courage.
