In the opening of Episode 6 of Tehran season 3, the tension escalates as Eric Peterson holds Tamar at gunpoint, explaining that he orchestrated the break-in using a text from a deceased person's phone. Peterson demands to know if it's just her and the Owl, unaware that Faraz is lurking outside, tracking their location through his phone, which he cleverly stashed in the van.

Tehran – Season 3 Episode 6 1

A shootout ensues outside between the Owl and Faraz, with the sound of gunfire providing just enough distraction for Tamar to slip away. The pair manage to escape, but not before Tamar is shot in the arm. Faraz and Peterson engage in a conversation outside, where the latter reveals that he knows everything. It turns out that Eric Peterson has been working with the Iranians for quite some time now, and his arrest was just a cover to make him the last person they'd suspect. His real play was to assemble a bomb for the Iranians.

The pair show up to see Larijani, explaining the situation. It doesn't take long for Peterson to be reunited with Shaparak, the woman from the prologue in episode 1. She's accessed the performance diagnostics on the components and has noticed an anomaly in the firing mechanism. Somebody has tampered with the bomb parts.

Meanwhile, Nahid is led outside and Behrouz shows up, shooting her escort in the head. Nahid is shocked and whimpers that he's the only one with her. He's working with Faraz, so he quickly lets her know that Nahid is okay.

At Mossad HQ, Yulia contemplates their next move after learning from Tamar about Peterson's involvement. They don't have much leverage beyond his daughter, whom Julia decides they should tap into. For now, their goal has changed - they need to find and eliminate Peterson no matter what.

As this unfolds, Tamar, thanks to the Owl, is patched up from her gunshot wound. The duo converse about Nahid, trying to ascertain if she's caught in the crossfire. Knowing she promised to get her out, Tamar is determined to fulfill her promise. However, Faraz's betrayal of Nahid complicates matters, leaving her erratic and angry at her husband's lies.

Meanwhile, the situation with Peterson intensifies. Hotel surveillance captures Shaparak leaving, and Yulia swiftly informs her agents. As the former Head of the Enrichment Program seven years ago, she's a pivotal part of this. If they can track her down, they might be able to reach Peterson too.

In private, Yulia speaks to the Owl, who confidently promises that they won't have a problem here. As he makes this vow, Peterson takes a step further in his plans, meeting with the scientists to get the bomb made. However, he's not pleased to see them working on the assembly without his supervision, considering each part is being flown in from around the world. Larijani's demand for urgency supersedes his order, but there's a possibility that the firing component may be compromised.

Faraz shows up to see Ramin, who's currently in custody. He's shocked to learn that Tamar (whom he thought was called Sara) is part of Mossad. Faraz wants him to find and bring Tamar to him.

As for Tamar and the Owl, they track down Shaparak and hold her at gunpoint. When she realizes that Tamar is with Mossad, her initial façade as a scared school mom drops. She lashes out, but Tamar isn't backing down either, considering Israel's fate hangs in the balance.

Shaparak promises to give her security access but unfortunately, Tamar lets her guard down, leading to a fight between the two women. When the Owl struggles to reach his agent, he heads in to turn the tables. Unfortunately, they aren't alone. Ramin shows up with his men and immediately holds Tamar at gunpoint.
