Meanwhile, Lucy is determined to sabotage Stephen's reputation. She learns about Diana's heartbreak over going to a different college due to Stephen's actions. Lucy sees photos of Stephen at Yale orientation and decides to take matters into her own hands. She confronts the Yale representative and reveals that Stephen was responsible for a car wreck that led to the death of Macy, her roommate. Despite Stephen's attempts to stop her, Lucy walks away, leaving a trail of suspicion behind.

The next day, Lucy tries to apologize to Pippa for meddling in her relationship with Chris. Pippa, in turn, reveals that she has been dishonest with Wrigley and that she is actually a lesbian. Lucy, feeling guilty for her own actions, confesses that she slept with Evan, causing a rift in their friendship. Pippa, upset with Lucy for hooking up with her best friend's boyfriend, calls her pathetic and asks her to leave.

Pippa goes to Wrigley's room and comes clean about her cheating. She reveals that she sent nude photos of Diana to her father, claiming that men like Stephen get away with everything they do because no one stands up to them. The two discuss Stephen's actions and Wrigley, surprising everyone, makes a joke about Pippa's sexuality and the girl she is hooking up with, lightening the mood despite the gravity of the situation.

Bree, filled with anger and a desire for justice, sneaks into Lucy's dorm room and steals a copy of the tape. As she listens to it, her emotions boil over. Her mother, Mary, takes her to an intervention with Marianne, Oliver, and Amanda. However, things take a sinister turn when Marianne and Amanda start spreading lies.

Marianne gaslights Mary by claiming that Bree has a crush on Oliver and is trying to ruin his life by accusing him of being a predator. Amanda backs up these claims, falsely denying any affair with Oliver. Mary is embarrassed and hurt by these accusations, claiming that she only wants what's best for Bree.

Bree is devastated to see Mary believing the lies over her own daughter. In a fit of rage and disappointment, she ends her relationship with Mary.

In a rage-fueled moment, Bree releases the tape. Lucy is caught in the act of confronting Stephen about it in the classroom. Stephen denies any involvement, claiming that Lucy must have released it herself to sabotage herself. Lucy tries to talk to Alex, but he shuns her, accusing her of using someone else's sexual assault story and taking advantage of his emotions. He asks her to leave, and she does so in tears.

Meanwhile, Wrigley confronts Stephen about the tape's release. He notices the lack of remorse or sympathy in Stephen's eyes for Lucy. Pippa finally reveals to Bree that Lucy lied about the sexual assault to protect her. Bree feels guilty and gets the college administration to unlock Lucy's room.

The college dean confronts Lucy about the video and announces that she will be expelled for lying about sexual assault. Bree and Pippa bid a tearful farewell to Lucy as she leaves to go back home. Diana meets Lucy and helps her pack, promising that things will get better soon.

In private, Bree confronts Evan about sleeping with Lucy. He confesses to it, but Bree asks him to keep it a secret from everyone. She tells Evan that she is agreeing to get back together with him because she loves him. Their relationship is now fraught with secrets and doubts, but they try to move forward together.

Stephen receives a call from Yale informing him that his admission has been revoked. The representative reveals that damaging information against him has been found. It turns out that Wrigley was the one who informed Yale about Stephen's terrorizing and harassing Diana.

Feeling betrayed, Stephen goes to Bree's room to confront her, but is surprised to find her with Evan. Bree hints to Wrigley that she knows he slept with Pippa the previous day and asks him to leave. In a fit of anger, Bree destroys the incriminating tape, blaming herself for ruining Lucy's life.

The episode shifts back to the night of Bree and Evan's wedding reception. Stephen argues with Lydia and confesses to sleeping with Lucy. He breaks up with her, and Lydia leaves her engagement ring behind. He then praises Bree for hiding the fact that she knew about Evan and Lucy's affair, hinting that he is aware that she is hooking up with Wrigley.

When Bree warns Stephen to stay away, he concludes that Bree is guilty for leaking the tape. Bree asks Stephen to accept defeat, which makes him even angrier.

Stephen delivers a vengeful speech to all the guests at Bree and Evan's wedding. He reveals that Lucy and Evan had an affair and claims that Lucy slept with him earlier that day, leaving her embarrassed and shattered. He then accuses Bree of leaking the tape that ruined Lucy's life. Finally, Stephen exposes that Bree has been hooking up with Wrigley for the past few months.

Bree gets angry at Stephen and starts chasing him down. Evan confronts Wrigley, who confesses to sleeping with Bree. Diana and Pippa leave the party, trying to escape the toxicity. Evan tries to chase after Stephen and ends up falling on the wedding cake.

The party descends into chaos as Bree tries to stop Lucy from leaving with Stephen. Lucy ignores Bree's advice, shattered by realizing she has ruined her own life. Bree and Wrigley share a look while Evan yells at Wrigley. Lucy tells Stephen that he is still the same person who wants to control and manipulate her.

Stephen claims that he doesn't care if she hates him because his life is more fun with her in it. Lucy goes to get coffee at a gas station, only to discover that Stephen has driven off, leaving her stranded. The episode ends with Lucy laughing at herself for being tricked into trusting Stephen once again.
