The Abandons – Season 1 Episode 7 1

The following day, Garret delivers the bodies of Dupar and the maid to the authorities, weaving a web of lies that goes unchallenged. Fiona desperately tries to alert the sheriff of Constance's sinister plans, but his hands are tied.

Meanwhile, Trisha sets out for town, her journey filled with anxiety as Constance fears her sister will unearth their secrets. Constance sends Roache to intercept Trisha, armed with a concoction to render her unconscious if necessary.

Elsewhere, Garret shares Miles's dark past with Samara, urging her to persuade Miles to accept Constance's offer. In return, he promises to help Miles clear his record.

Trisha spots Garret and confronts him, but her brother is ensnared by his mother's influence and fails to act in the right way. Roache arrives, forcibly dragging Trisha towards the wagon. Elias attempts a rescue but is unsuccessful. Enraged, Dahlia follows Garret into a store and delivers a beating that ends with a fatal stabbing with a broken glass.

In the carriage, a maid administers a drug to Trisha, rendering her unconscious. They bring her home, and Constance unveils her master plan: to transport Trisha to a sanatorium in Portland, hoping to silence her once and for all and resume their life of secrecy.

Fortunately for Trisha, she awakens and overpowers the maid, seizing her gun. She makes her way to the door only to find it locked. In the living room, she confronts her mother, poised to reveal all their secrets.

Miles, amidst Samara's calming confrontation with her father, reiterates his decision not to take Constance's offer, citing the betrayal by his former employers who disapproved of his marriage. He chooses love over work and prepares to arm himself in solidarity with Fiona. However, fate takes a dark turn when Samara betrays him and discloses the truth behind Willem's death to Garret.

As Paxton digs up his family's remains in preparation for departure, he is blindsided by Garret and his men as he attempts to retrieve his dog's remains. They transport Willem's body back to the Van Ness ranch, setting the stage for a chilling revelation.

Constance, upon hearing the truth about Willem, is shocked and relieved. As she sips her drink, plotting her revenge, Trisha attempts to escape but is held at gunpoint by her daughter, who blames her for ruining her life. Unmoved, Constance tells Trisha of Willem's fate and directs her towards the body on the table. She accuses Elias of covering up the murder and hands Trisha the keys, urging her to confront her lover.

Meanwhile, at the market, where Fiona, Elias, and Albert are gathering supplies for the war, Lilla is overpowered by Constance and her men as they seize Dahlia. Constance marks Dahlia's face with a slash on her cheek before bringing her to the Van Ness ranch. Despite the ordeal, Dahlia remains defiant and mocks Constance in front of her.

At the market, Trisha confronts Elias with a mixture of emotions. He admits his love for her but asserts that family comes first, given that her family was responsible for starting the war. He leaves her his jacket, which she wears as she wanders around the market, symbolizing a new chapter in her life.

As night falls, Fiona boldly appears at the Van Ness ranch, offering herself as a sacrifice to save Dahlia. Constance, in her relentless quest for power, subjects Dahlia to a cruel torture session while her men keep Fiona at bay. Amidst the agony, Quentin and Elias arrive on the scene, a carriage laden with oil barrels serving as their unexpected ally. Albert and Miles unleash a barrage of gunfire, their aim to distract Constance's men and create a diversion.

The gunfight rages on, setting the stage for Constance's hasty retreat to the safety of the house. Quentin takes a bullet but their ingenuity prevails, igniting the barrels and setting the house ablaze. Fiona, fueled by anger and vengeance, pursues Constance into the burning inferno. A grueling struggle ensues as they grapple for dominance, each trying to strangle the other to death.

From afar, Garret watches in horror as his home burns to the ground. Meanwhile, the orphans anxiously await Fiona's fate, hoping she will emerge unscathed. The episode concludes with the silhouette of a figure approaching the door, but the smoke and flames render it too blurry to discern who it is. The tension is palpable, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats, eager for the next chapter of this thrilling tale.
