Realizing that she is the one who broke the window, Lupe exhibits a mix of fear and determination as she tries to comfort Alex, who is desperately searching for his father. In private, she shares her fears with Ulises, unaware that Alex overhears their conversation and learns that Lupe killed the men and falsely implicated Charro.

The Accident – Season 2 Episode 3 1

Meanwhile, Charro finds himself at the doorstep of Tamara, his former lover and the mother of his daughter, Chelita, who is almost the same age as Gabito. Chelita adores her father and wishes he would stay around more. Despite trying to act indifferent, Tamara's care for Charro is evident. As a token of gratitude, Charro attempts to reconnect with Tamara, but she rejects him. It turns out that she was the one who mentored Lupe and stole Charro from her. She confronts him about still being in love with Lupe and only caring for his sons. Charro becomes violent, but she reminds him that his freedom depends on her, and he backs down.

Alex makes a bold move by visiting Lucia's workplace and causing her to lose her job in a fit of rage. He wants to run away with her, but when she refuses to abandon her family, he lashes out, mirroring his father's behavior. Despite not fully recovered, Emiliano is being sent back to prison. However, he changes his mind and decides to stay and protect his family from Charro. With the help of Cayetana, he is released on parole. This revelation is met with dismay by Dynamite, who tells Charro that he failed to avenge Gabito.

To cheer Carla up, Fabian invites her to dinner. Paula forgives her, and Fabian confesses that his daughter is seeing ghosts. Carla sets aside her reporter's hat and is there for him in a different light. As he tries to kiss her, she hesitates, still waiting for David.

Alex reaches out to Lucia via phone, imploring her forgiveness while acknowledging his resemblance to his fatherly ways. Despite her frustration with his evasiveness, she offers to lend a hand in his move-out efforts. Meanwhile, Charro indulges in a state of inebriation, unheeded by Tamara's warning against rash decisions. Believing his instincts to be infallible, he disregards her advice. Emiliano is haunted by nightmares of Charro wreaking havoc on his family, and Daniela soothes him with the assurance that tragedy has reshaped them all. Embracing her in a kiss, he vows to rectify matters indefinitely, though she cannot promise a return of her love. Lupe relentlessly searches for Alex until he returns home, where she attempts to gauge his well-being. He longs to confront her but refrains.

The next morning, Emiliano and his family engage in a joyous activity, attempting to cook together as a unit. However, Charro's ominous phone call disrupts the serenity, and Emiliano turns to his former inmate, Pomeyo, for a weapon. In the meantime, the construction crew unearths David's body, prompting Lupe to suspect Charro of the murder due to David's affair with her. She confides this suspicion to a distraught Carla. Carla unleashes her displeasure on TV, while Dynamite and Tamara mock Charro for being repeatedly cuckolded, further inflaming his ire.

At David's funeral, Fabian silently extends his support, while Cayetana's presence for Javier's sake clashes with Brenda's disapproval. Yolanda informs Emiliano that Charro insists he is not the culprit in David's death. Daniela believes him, given Charro's unapologetic nature towards his hostility. Alone with Javier, Brenda urges him to dismiss Cayetana to thwart the impending affair. Their argument delves into the state of their strained marriage and their second son, ultimately culminating in Brenda presenting him with an ultimatum: to be present for baby Mateo's baptism.

Elsewhere, Charro has Lupe meet him, a move she agrees to in order to maintain his trust. Unfortunately for her, he is aware of her intricate plans with Ulises. As they share one final intimate moment, he tries to kill her, though his heart falters and he cannot bring himself to do it. She cries in relief as he exits, a mix of emotions echoing through the silence.

Back at home, Emiliano installs CCTVs, his fear for his family's safety keeping him up at night. Daniela witnesses his efforts and in a show of support, she kisses him back.

At the conclusion of the episode, Alex reveals to Charro that Lupe was the one who killed the men and framed him. The betrayal wounds Charro deeply.
