The Auditors – Season 1 Episode 11 1

Driven by the suspicion that the president's passing may have been more than just a tragic end, Sin Cha-il initiates a meticulous investigation. The company's relentless march forward, unhindered by the president's illness, fuels his conviction that murder might be the hand behind the curtain. Yet, to unlock the truth and persuade the family to authorize an autopsy, he must amass irrefutable evidence.

As the audit team swings into action, a fierce battle for corporate supremacy unfolds. Introducing a new player to the intricate chessboard: Dae-woong, Head Choi, the freshly appointed helm of the purchasing department, who arrives with an agenda of his own.

Uncovering layer upon layer of deception, the auditors uncover a shocking revelation—the CEO of Archcle Design, a figurehead American citizen, is a mere puppet, with the strings pulled from South Korea. Time is of the essence, as the team races against the clock, their investigation compressed into a few fleeting days before the ashes of the former president are forever sealed.

Amidst this high-stakes probe, Sin Cha-il's keen eye detects a growing camaraderie between Dae-Woong and Head Choi, igniting suspicion that Dae-Woong might be hiding beneath the veil of innocence.

Parallel to this, a ruthless power struggle for the presidency rages between Dae-woong and Se-woong. Dae-Woong orchestrates elaborate dinners with the board members, his charm on full display as he endeavors to sway their loyalty. However, a subtle shift in their responses hints at an undercurrent of mistrust, leaving him to ponder the intricate web of deceit that surrounds him.

The audit squad embarked on a meticulous probe into the procurement department, uncovering a glaring irregularity: a construction project, blatantly ineligible under government building codes, had been lavishly funded. A sinister thread linking Head Choi to this dubious endeavor surfaced, unraveling his involvement in a clandestine slush fund.

Sin Cha-il, determined to expose the truth, trailed Head Choi, ultimately witnessing and capturing on camera a brazen bribe being tendered to the undersecretary. Parallelly, Dae-Woong found himself ensnared in a police investigation, having been the last person to visit the president before his untimely demise. This unwelcome development further fueled Sin Cha-il's suspicions towards Dae-Woong.

Amidst this turmoil, Se-Woong basked in the favorable turn of events, seemingly unscathed. However, Dae-Woong's fortunes took a turn for the worse when he realized he had also fallen out of favor with the undersecretary.

As the investigation deepened, Sin Cha-il discovered that the president himself had mandated Head Choi's close collaboration with Dae-Woong. An interrogation with Head Choi subsequently revealed his undeniable entanglement in the illicit slush fund. Realizing his cover was blown, Head Choi hastened to meet the elusive mastermind behind the scheme, with Cha-il in hot pursuit.

Concurrently, Seo-jin and Han-soo embarked on separate tails, tracking Dae-Woong and Se-Woong respectively, but Han-soo's quarry, Se-Woong, eluded him. Meanwhile, Cha-il's pursuit of Head Choi led them both into an abandoned edifice, where a treacherous ambush awaited. The structure was engulfed in flames, smoke choking the air as the two victims lay unconscious, victims of a heinous attack orchestrated by none other than Se-Woong.
