The fifth episode of The Ba***ds of Bollywood opens with Jaraj, perched in the shadows, watching Aasmaan's forced meeting with Gafoor. Posing as a ruthless gangster, Jaraj sneaks into the building and observes the interaction between Aasmaan and Gafoor. Gafoor, with an air of menace, reveals his plan to cast Aasmaan in his biopic, penned by his own daughter. The pressure is palpable as he coerces Aasmaan into signing on the dotted line, all while Jaraj secretly records the encounter.
The following morning, Aasmaan's friends are aghast at his predicament. When Aasmaan reveals the truth about Gafoor's ulterior motives, Sanya reproaches Parvaiz for his meddling and resorting to gangster tactics. Aasmaan's disappointment in Parvaiz is palpable.
Meanwhile, Sameer humbly apologizes to Karishma for his impulsive proposal. He suggests they wait a bit longer before tying the knot, if that's what they both desire. Karishma marvels at Sameer's understanding and reciprocates with a kiss, sealing their reconciliation. As Sameer departs, Shaumik jests about Karishma's alleged infatuation with actors, even after marriage.
On the other hand, Jaraj presents the video recording to Freddy, suggesting they use it to their advantage. He envisions showing the video to Karan Johar, thereby removing Aasmaan from the movie and enticing Ajay to sign on with Sodawalah Productions. Jaraj persuades Freddy into a partnership, securing a contract that grants him a 51% stake in the new production company. Freddy obliges, showing the video to Ajay and securing his signature for the new film.
Karan meets with Avtaar and Adam, requesting a new song for the film. As Ajay sends the video to Karan, the filmmaker swiftly dismisses Aasmaan from the project. Karishma confronts her father, asking if he had a hand in Aasmaan's removal from the movie. To her surprise, he lies about his involvement.
As Aasmaan hung heavy with despair after Karishma's wedding, Parvaiz's gentle words of encouragement and push for him to move on fell on deaf ears. Aasmaan found it impossible to shake Karishma from his thoughts. Meanwhile, Karishma, reeling from her own emotional turmoil, visited Aasmaan and witnessed him kissing another woman.
The following night, Karishma returned home in tears, confessing to her parents that she did not wish to marry Sameer. Sanya, on the other hand, revealed to Aasmaan that he had been booted from the film due to his entanglements with the underworld. Parvaiz suggested seeking Gafoor's assistance, but Aasmaan's actions took a dramatic turn as he slapped his longtime friend.
A rift formed between the two, and Parvaiz refused to answer Sanya's calls. A week later, Sanya compelled Aasmaan to meet a new filmmaker. Just as they were about to engage in their meeting, Neeta called Sanya to inform her that Aasmaan's father, Rajat, was undergoing a liver transplant surgery.
By the time Aasmaan, Avtaar, and Sanya arrived in Delhi, Rajat had emerged from surgery. Avtaar shared the Filmfirst Awards nominations with Rajat, and they decided to attend the ceremony together. Parvaiz appeared to visit Rajat, and when the truth about the rift between Parvaiz and Aasmaan was revealed, they were coaxed into reconciling.
The nurse informed Aasmaan's family that Rajat had to be kept under observation for 48 hours. During this time, Aasmaan and Parvaiz cleared the air between them. However, Rajat's condition took a turn for the worse, and he ultimately passed away.
The family grieved the loss of Aasmaan's father, and he refused to attend the Filmfirst Awards. The episode ended with Neeta's insistence that Aasmaan attend the ceremony in memory of his late father, a poignant reminder of the cycles of life and its impermanence.
