The seventh episode of Season 1 of "The Bondsman" kicks off with a serene scene at the park, where a young boy is innocently engaging in play. However, this tranquility is shattered when he is suddenly possessed by a malevolent demon. Meanwhile, at Kitty's abode, Hub and Maryanne are immersed in chores, while Kitty and Cade are busy disposing of bodies in a discreet manner. While cleaning, Maryanne stumbles upon Lucky's phone, but Hub, aware of its contents, swiftly crushes it underfoot. He relates to her the gruesome details of Lucky's torture video, conveniently omitting any mention of Cheryl.

Soon, Kitty and Cade return from their grim task, with Kitty expressing concern that Cade has adapted all too swiftly to the brutal realities of dispatching demons. She sternly instructs Hub to never reveal to her the extent of his actions. The calm before the storm is short-lived as they receive a new assignment. Hub is tasked with capturing Pyralis, a formidable demon whose elimination is imperative to prevent it from carrying out its final sacrifices.

Pyralis's lair is situated at the Macon farm, necessitating the evacuation of nearby houses due to the demon's formidable abilities to conjure and manipulate fire. As they strategize, Midge bursts in, having delved deep into the documents Hub left with her and uncovering startling revelations about the sacrifices. She warns that if the final sacrifice is completed, it will unleash one of the shackled Sevens, heralding an apocalyptic Armageddon.

Elsewhere, Lucky seeks solace in a church, contemplating the possibility that God is using him as an instrument to confront Hub. On a different note, Tater reveals that the police have been inquiring about the Earle brothers, sparking an idea in Lucky's mind. He contemplates leveraging the police to neutralize Hub and rescue Maryanne and Cade from their perilous predicament.

Across town, Midge and Hub's family disguise themselves as gas company employees, orchestrating a plan to evacuate the neighborhood under the pretext of a gas leak. Though their scheme encounters hiccups, they succeed in persuading the majority of the residents to step outside their homes. However, disaster strikes when Midge encounters the possessed child. Torn between duty and compassion, she hesitates to terminate the innocent life of a mere child. Before Hub can intervene to protect her, the malevolent spirit sacrifices Midge by causing the house to collapse into a blazing triangular sinkhole, engulfed in flames.

Defeated in their mission, Hub and his family retreat to their home, bracing for the impending apocalypse. They find solace in song, uniting their voices as Hub finally strums his guitar once more. Following their impromptu karaoke session, Hub and Maryanne share an intimate moment, their bond deepening amidst the chaos.

Meanwhile, Lucky endeavors to convince the sheriff of Hub's manipulative influence, portraying him as the puppeteer behind Maryanne's involvement in a demon-hunting cult. As evidence, he presents the photograph Tater captured of Hub vanquishing a demon during their encounter with Pastor Ron.

Returning to Hub and Maryanne, their passionate encounter concludes with Hub waking in the dead of night. A fresh directive awakens within him, leading him on a quest that terminates in his own backyard. With urgency, he dashes to Cheryl's grave, only to discover it dug up and eerily empty, with tendrils of smoke curling from the hollow earth.
