The sixth episode of The Boroughs unfolds with the characters being escorted into The Manor. Blaine approaches Wally and leaves him to speak with the rest of the group. He offers them a deal: they can return to their normal lives as long as they abandon the monster hunt, keep their knowledge to themselves, and remain within The Borough. Additionally, Wally will be required to work with Blaine. Wally urges the others to accept the deal, which also includes a promise that the monsters will no longer feed on them.

Three days later, Seraphim machines are installed in all the houses, and everyone is forced to live their lives as usual but under the constant watch of ankle monitors. Renee spots Paz and tries to speak with him, but he remains silent in front of his colleagues.
Wally embarks on his first day of work and is introduced to his team, including Dr. Mansour, his former doctor. Annaliese offers him a glass of the golden liquid, which Blaine confirms will cure his cancer and prevent him from aging further. Despite this, Wally refuses. However, when Blaine and the others start chanting his name, he eventually gives in and drinks the liquid.
Meanwhile, Sam arranges his TVs around the oven in preparation for an attack on the creature if it enters his house. Suddenly, the TV screens display visions of Lily, banging on the screen and pleading for Sam's help.
He rushes out of the house and meets Art. When Sam wonders if he can run across the desert and reach the diner to call Claire for help, Art advises him to keep his head down.
At work, Wally speaks with Ernest, the new head of security, and learns that the workers refer to the creatures as "kids." One of them, Scar, escaped from the facility some time ago.
Blaine then directs Wally to his job, which involves treating a specific patient they call "Mother."
Back home, Claire leaves another voicemail for her father. Neil realizes she's troubled about her father but assures her that she'll make the right decision.
Elsewhere, Paz finds a way to secretly meet Renee. He informs her of his plan to escape the town during the 75th anniversary celebrations. He gives Renee a walkie-talkie to communicate with him.
Sam returns home and tinkers with some of his machines. He discovers a way to replicate the signal on his ankle monitor and cuts it off.
Wally arrives home to find Renee waiting for him. He informs her that Marcus Shaw (now known as Blaine) discovered an egg underground that hatched into The Mother. Drinking her blood allowed Marcus and the others to never age. However, The Mother and her kids required a constant flow of cerebrospinal fluid to survive, which is why Marcus and Annaliese established The Boroughs.
At present, Wally expresses his discontent with how Blaine and the others are not utilizing the gift in its true potential, asserting that he could eradicate diseases as they are currently known. Renee urges him to abandon these dreams and escape with them, but Wally remains steadfast in his determination.
Meanwhile, at Judy and Art's residence, tensions reach their boiling point. Judy confesses her love for Jack, but insists that it doesn't have to alter their future. Art, however, disagrees, claiming that it already has. That evening, Renee sends Judy a message, instructing her to meet them at Jack's house at midnight.
When they arrive, Art is absent and Sam is not at home, leaving only Renee, Paz, and Judy. However, Renee changes the plan. She no longer wishes to escape. Instead, she desires to use the 75th anniversary to sneak inside and eliminate the Mother, effectively taking away Blaine's golden goose.
Meanwhile, Sam manages to walk several miles and reach the diner. He uses the diner's phone to call Claire for assistance and begs her to pick him up. Claire complies and brings him back to The Boroughs, to Blaine. Sam is shocked but assures Claire it's okay.
Later, Art encounters Claire and Neil near Sam's house and inquires about what has transpired. They inform him that they've had to place Sam in The Manor. This news motivates Art, who now joins forces with Judy and the others.
The episode concludes with Wally observing one of the creatures pouring one of its appendages into a machine, releasing a liquid. Through a series of pipes and machines, the liquid transforms into gold and enters the body of an old, deformed woman.
