The third episode of The Death of Bunny Munro commences with the ominous news that the Horned Killer has continued his southward journey, now landing in Watford. But Bunny, oblivious to the threat, sleeps in late, while Junior cuddles up to his father, confessing his worries when Bunny left in the middle of the night. Bunny dismisses his son's concerns as mere dreams, jesting about Junior's "dream" of becoming a salesman. Ready to pass on his knowledge, Bunny takes Junior along to his appointments, hoping to show him the ropes.

However, their little excursion turns into a chaotic affair when a woman's "siren song" attracts the attention of her boyfriend, who chases them out of the building. After the ordeal at the laundrette, where the social worker from episode 1 appears like a ghost from the past, Bunny encourages Junior to leave while the social worker explains that this has now turned into a Missing Person case and the police could be looking for Junior.

Bunny is at a loss, having lost his sales list and unable to do much to help. Even Geoffrey, loathe to give him more leads given the police involvement, encourages Bunny to lay low for the time being.

As Bunny makes a plan to head to the pub, Poodle shows up in a state of existential crisis, struggling to make a sale or concentrate after his girlfriend's departure. Bunny's callousness towards his friend's plight enrages Poodle, who lunges at Bunny when he asks for his list. It's clear that Bunny is only concerned with himself.

As their arguments spill out into the street outside the pub, Poodle is suddenly hit by a cement mixer truck. The impact leaves Bunny shocked and he decides to run, leaving Junior behind as the police arrive on the scene.
