The Chapter 10 of "The Fiery Priest" Season 2 kicks off with an intriguing twist: Kyung-sun arrives as a male shaman, while Hae-il takes on the role of a female shaman. Concurrently, Du-heon stumbles upon hospital CCTV footage depicting Kyung-sun visiting Hae-il, dawning on him that she's a spy in disguise. He opts to keep this bombshell from Hong-sik, who's currently engrossed in terrorizing the customs team.
Elsewhere, Dean Lee is summoned by the bishop of Busan, who reproaches him for the seminary brawl. Undeterred, Dean Lee comes to the defense of Hae-il and Chae, insisting that their fight was a noble pursuit of justice.
Back on the ship, Hae-il and Capelin orchestrate a daring rescue of Seok-hui. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew pulls off an elaborate ruse to divert Boss Park's gang, pretending to exorcise the spirit of Fire Eel – who, surprisingly, is very much alive and seeking redemption after being shocked back to life in the morgue.
As Capelin makes a swift getaway with Seok-hui and the elderly, the gang finds themselves trapped and engages in a fierce battle with Boss Park's thugs. Hong-sik corners Hae-il, revealing that he was once NIS and Seok-hui's former colleague. Despite their fight, Hae-il manages to slip away. The gang eventually recalls the exit, and they are met outside by Sister Kim, who drives recklessly, successfully evading the thugs and the Geckos.
Capelin brings the elderly to Martha, who shows leniency towards them, her main objective being the cessation of drugs. Next, Capelin and the remainder of the Gudam crew regroup at Gozhaev's. Their initial exhilaration shifts to concern as they lament Hae-il's illness. He apologizes for keeping it a secret, but soon enough, their worries are sidetracked by a sumptuous feast.
Meanwhile, Hong-sik viciously metes out justice to Boss Park, vowing to terminate his life the following day. With the Laotians, he proceeds to pack their belongings, while Boss Park's men secretly keep watch on their every move. As planned, Gozhaev confronts a wounded Boss Park to dismantle the ship bomb and seize Hong-sik's illicit funds. Their operation is abruptly halted by Du-heon, who has become privy to the latest developments and has a clean-up assignment for Boss Park. Du-heon's henchmen attempt to eliminate Martha, but she deters them with her firearm, displaying remarkable bravery. Meanwhile, two additional thugs set their sights on Kyung-sun, only to be thwarted by Ma-ri at the last moment. Revealing her true identity, Ma-ri is an undercover investigator appointed by Chief Prosecutor Park, aiming to dismantle Du-heon's operation. She warns Kyung-sun of Du-heon's surveillance cameras at the Go House and shares with her the CCTV footage from the hospital.
That fateful night, Hae-il seeks out Dean Lee to apologize for the trouble he has caused. To his surprise, he discovers that Dean Lee once participated in protests during his youth. However, Dean Lee claims to have undergone a transformation since the death of his friend during their fight for justice. Hae-il expresses his hope that someone else will continue their fight after his demise, believing that Dean Lee's friend would share the same sentiment.
Concurrently, Hong-sik beckons Kyung-sun to the church, revealing his intentions to depart and urging her to accompany him. With her usual playful demeanor, she declines his offer, and he reluctantly accepts her decision. After his departure, Kyung-sun and Hae-il realize that Du-heon has kept her secret from Hong-sik, leaving a sense of unease in the air.
Through Ma-ri, they delve deeper into the enigma of the ghost. Kyung-sun's lodging, once inhabited by a murderer, harbors a dark secret—the third victim's body remains undiscovered, none other than the Polka Dot ghost haunting Kyung-sun and Hae-il. The revelation sends them into a faint.
Elsewhere, Du-heon's frustration mounts as both Martha and Kyung-sun continue to breathe. Matters worsen when Hong-sik confronts him about concealing Hae-il's NIS past, accusing Du-heon of betrayal and attempting to coerce him. Fuming with anger, Du-heon retaliates by exposing Kyung-sun's plight.
The following morning, a ray of hope illuminates the Gudam crew's path. Dean Lee grants Chae the authority to instruct Taekwondo at the seminary. Meanwhile, Gu, Songsak, and Yo-han successfully persuade their customs contact to testify against Hong-sik. Capelin and Ja-yeong dismantle a corrupt cop who is privy to their identities.
Yet, Hong-sik strikes, abducting Kyung-sun and preparing for his escape. He initiates the ship bomb and gas tank, but to his astonishment, nothing occurs. Boss Park had neutralized the ship bomb, while Hae-il had disarmed the gas tank.
A raging Hong-sik phones Hae-il, revealing Kyung-sun as his leverage. Hae-il dashes to the church, where he discovers the clerics bound and helpless. As Gu frees them, Hae-il spots Kyung-sun tethered to a chair at the altar, with syringes of a lethal drug inches from her neck. In three minutes, she faces an overdose that will claim her life. Hong-sik offers her freedom on one condition: Hae-il's suicide, a fate that would damn him to eternal damnation. The clerics, Gu, and Kyung-sun desperately attempt to thwart Hae-il as he raises the gun to his temple. As The Fiery Priest Season 2 Episode 10 concludes, a gunshot echoes through the air, leaving viewers on a cliffhanger.
