Episode 10 of "The Judge From Hell" kicks off with a dramatic scene where Arong materializes in a desolate, abandoned lot, ready to conjure up the demon of Death. With a blazing pentagram etched into the earth beneath her feet, she stands in awe as a maelstrom swirls into life… and from its depths, Bael emerges. He, in his omnipotence, orders his subordinate Paimon to etch Daon's name into his memory and embark on a hunt.
The narrative then shifts abruptly to Munjae, sprawled lifeless upon the ground, his wounds trickling a slow, steady seep of blood, casting a ghostly pallor over the entire scene. However, this grim tableau merely serves as a harbinger of doom, paving the way for an even more sinister revelation; Paimon usurps Munjae's inert body, his malevolent essence seeping into the lifeless shell like a pernicious, spreading stain of ink. This chilling metamorphosis seamlessly interlaces with haunting flashbacks from episode 9, where Munjae's inexplicable fascination with the intricate dynamics between Daon and Bitna was palpable. Daon's earlier characterization of her as "humane" now resonates with a chilling undertone, revealing that his compliant demeanor was a crafty stratagem, cunningly devised to ensnare both of them in Bael's lethal trap.
Bitna sits beside Munjae's body, her voice a warning as she cautions him against threatening Daon again. This revelation sparks a realization within Munjae – Daon is privy to her true identity as Justitia. This knowledge fuels his vengeful desires, cementing his fate.
Elsewhere, Seonho grapples with the shocking verdict – two years in prison, coupled with probation, for his impulsive actions. That fateful night, he clutches a knife, teetering on the edge of a precarious decision.
Bitna's mental state deteriorates further, her paranoia pushing her to ward off Arong from Daon. The urge to slay J is palpable, yet she hesitates, torn between the quest for justice and the need to scrutinize every potential suspect in Soyeong's murder.
Suspicions are not confined to Bitna alone; the Assemblyman steps into the fray, offering a covert helping hand to Bitna. His benevolence stems from quashing the charges leveled against her by adversaries in episode 9 and erasing incriminating videos and comments.
Bitna seeks solace and alliance in Gabriel, now resumed in her guise as Mija. She pleads for Gabriel's insight, desperate to know Daon's fate if she returns to Hell. However, Gabriel remains resolutely uncooperative, scorning Bitna and enlisting the help of a nearby passerby to escort the elderly woman away from the demonic Justitia. This humorous, yet poignant, exchange only deepens Bitna's frustration.
Our narrative arc returns to the looming specter of Satan and the mysterious Kylum. Mando, Daon, and Bitna converge on the case, discerning a pattern – all victims were dismembered, hinting at a dark conspiracy. Their theory crystallizes – Satan, in a twisted masquerade, may have infiltrated J's body, committing these grim deeds. For a demon to maintain a human form, it requires the incorporation of various body parts from virtuous individuals and the kylum, a grim necessity that ties these gruesome incidents together.
In the meantime, Daon finds himself in a precarious position as Munjae uploads the surveillance footage directly to his phone, effectively giving him a potent bargaining chip. The resolution of their issues now looms as an uphill battle. Nevertheless, Daon keeps this grave development to himself as he and Bitna venture out to visit the grieving families of J's brutal victims. None of them have extended forgiveness to him, a given considering their circumstances. Moreover, their faith in the justice system's ability to apprehend and punish J is nil.
Elsewhere, Arong whisks Mando away for a clandestine meeting with Munjae. He confidentially informs Mando that a crucial mission awaits him and stresses the importance of success. Arong hastily clarifies that Justitia must remain unscathed, contrary to Bael's explicit instructions, which Paimon has been informed permit Justitia's elimination if deemed necessary.
We glimpsed fragments of this intricate puzzle in the previous episode, but now, the role of Myungsook in this saga comes into clearer focus. She is the devoted mother of Jeong Yechan, the child whose fleeting appearances in flashbacks from the prior episode left a lasting impression. As she unlocks the door to his bedroom, a cascade of memories floods her mind, revealing their deep bond.
Myeongsuk, relentlessly striving to keep their family afloat, was always a whirlwind of activity. Her world was shattered when a phone call delivered the devastating news of her son's demise. Consumed by grief and resentment towards the Almighty for taking her cherished child, she has refused to leave the confines of the villa. Her unwavering commitment to her faith and the belief that her prayers will eventually elicit a response from heaven sustain her. Now, with J at liberty, Myeongsuk yearns for an encounter with him, seeking the closure she desperately needs.
Ultimately, they venture to Daon's forsaken abode, and after immersing themselves in these haunting narratives, Bitna is unwaveringly resolved to hunt down this serial killer and ensure he faces justice, come what may. Upon her arrival at the club, Mando stands vigilant outside, keeping a close watch as she enters to confront Seonho. He is utterly perplexed by her accusation, labeling him as Satan. Truthfully, his demeanor does not align with such a demonic figure.
As Bitna's attention is diverted, Mando takes on the role of impersonating her over the phone, crafting a convincing plea for assistance. Meanwhile, Daon hastily departs, leaving Mando to seek solace and forgiveness in the church. This marks his final visit, as he comes to terms with his eternal damnation and embraces his destiny as a demon. Nevertheless, armed with sulphur powder, he confronts Arong outside and retaliates against her provocation by hurling the powder at her, hastily fleeing the scene.
Returning home, Mando finds Justitia absent, but Mija is present and bears witness to his plight. Together, they hasten to the club to inform Bitna of the grim news. Mija, nonchalant, declares that she aids only the virtuous and the downtrodden. As Mando confesses the truth, Bitna reveals that she was already aware and remains unperturbed. However, their immediate concerns transcend this revelation.
Daon unwittingly walks into a trap, where Munjae boasts of Bitna's demise. He allows Daon a moment of false hope before swiftly reversing the situation. Fortunately, Bitna arrives in the nick of time, leading to a fierce confrontation. Just as Bitna prepares to strike Munjae with her Hell blade, he conjures an illusion, placing Daon in her line of sight.
Daon manages to pierce through the illusion, calling out to Bitna. Their battle intensifies, culminating in Bitna delivering the final blow, slaying the demon. She is horrified to find Daon wounded, his body marred by cuts. Tears streaming down her cheeks, she embraces him. Suddenly, Paimon rises with a murderous gleam in his eyes. Sensing the impending danger, Daon intercepts the attack, sacrificing himself to shield Bitna.
