Episode 12 of "The Judge from Hell" kicks off with the dramatic arrival of the police at the scene of the blazing car. The body, blackened and charred beyond recognition, necessitates a等待 autopsy report to ascertain any definitive conclusions. However, a note discovered at the scene incriminates Seonho's father and brother, a clear setup orchestrated by the cunning Bitna.
Taegyu and Jaegeol are both grilled by the investigating officers, who raise suspicions about the conveniently offline security cameras at their residence. The anticipation for the DNA results looms over the proceedings, with the anticipation lasting approximately three days—coinciding ominously with the day of burial. This timeline also aligns with Jaegeol's shady dealings with another assemblyman, witnessed during a golf outing where money exchanged hands.
Daon remains stoically silent throughout the turmoil, maintaining a cautious detachment as the officers keep a wary eye on the troubled family. Conversely, Bitna makes a bold entrance at the funeral, openly questioning the family's lack of genuine emotion and mocking their premature congratulations. Jaegeol, sensing her批评, overcompensates with an exaggerated display of grief outside.
When the DNA results finally arrive, they deliver a shocking revelation: the remains do not match Seonho's DNA. It transpires that Seonho is still alive, not the victim of the fiery wreck as initially presumed. Instead, he unexpectedly turns himself in at the police station.
The narrative then flashbacks four days, revealing Bitna's confidential conversation with Daon. She exposes her possession of incriminating evidence linked to the infamous J serial killings. At the motel, her cunning plan unfolds: using Seonho as bait to trap the elusive J. The discovery of the axe used in the grisly dismemberments only facilitates her scheme further.
Bitna, aware of Seonho's vulnerable position in the family hierarchy, leverages this by negotiating his surrender. She convincingly argues that Jaegeol and Taegyu will abandon him if he doesn't cooperate. Reluctantly, the brothers curse their fate and abduct him from the motel, intending to abandon him somewhere remote.
However, their sinister plan is thwarted by the intervention of the Hell Clean Up crew, Arong and Mando. With swift and efficient action, they dispatched the goons and rescued Seonho. To secure his cooperation, Seonho learns that the body found in the field is actually a decade-old sinner, meticulously preserved until Bitna ignites the blaze that consumes the car.
Daon's complicity in this intricate plot becomes clear, explaining his detached demeanor at the police station. This context catches us up to the tense scene at the police station, where Bitna promises Seonho immunity from legal repercussions or harm for the murder of her human form, vowing to seek revenge on his behalf.
During his interrogation, Seonho drops a bombshell: he accuses Taegyu and Jaegeol of colluding to starve his mother to death. He's aware of the existence of video evidence but remains unaware of its whereabouts.
The tidings of the axe reverberated in Taegyu's ears at the exact moment when the officers uncovered the subtlety behind Taegyu's bribe to the assemblyman—a masterstroke, in reality, designed to calm the turbulent waters surrounding the Hwangcheon redevelopment plans. Eunseop had deftly restored a pivotal snippet of information, which, in tandem with the affirmation that Daon had deliberately disclosed the axe's existence to Taegyu, ignited their intricate scheme into motion. This entire meticulously crafted orchestration aimed to destabilize Taegyu and lure him into committing an error.
Jaegeol's interest perked up significantly when his son revealed that he actually possessed the kylum. A quick inspection of the vault confirmed Jaegeol's suspicion—Bitna had been there. Moreover, Jaegeol began to piece together her true identity. One thing she hadn't noticed, however, was a hidden compartment where their mother lay, preserved in icy stillness.
Jaegeol brought up Bitna's ties to the situation and promised to make the necessary arrangements. If Taegyu handed over the kylum, Jaegeol would ensure he was shipped out of the country, far from any potential incrimination. Taegyu, seizing the opportunity, grabbed the kylum just as Bitna glanced into her mirror and glimpsed its hiding spot. He made his way back to his father, gathered his belongings, and presented the kylum. But, in a sudden twist, Taegyu whipped out a gun and fired.
After killing Jaegeol, he made a swift getaway with the kylum and his gear, believing he was on his way to the airport. However, it was all a grim vision conjured by Jaegeol, who revealed his son's true desires through these fantastical sequences. Jaegeol stabbed Taegyu in the leg, leaving him to bleed out while he made his escape with the kylum.
Meanwhile, DNA test results came back, confirming that the fingerprints on the axe belonged to Taegyu, alias J. Everyone rushed to find him, but Bitna beat them to it. She sprinted into the vault, where Jaegeol was busy perfecting the body with the kylum. Just as he was about to place the final piece, Bitna summoned her Hell Blade, ready to strike—until Jaegeol invoked the memory of Daon's parents' tragic demise.
Jaegeol unveiled his story: injured during his escape from Hell, he found Taegyu at the real Jaegeol's mansion. Never measuring up to his father's expectations, Satan saw an opportunity in his bloodlust. It was a convenient twist of fate when Seonho killed the real Jaegeol, prompting Satan to seize the moment and possess his body.
To spare Seonho's life, Jaegeol was forced to carry out Satan's gruesome tasks, collecting body parts for the dark lord. In return, he was promised a prestigious position in the family and the love he had always craved.
Jaegeol subsequently attempts to manipulate Bitna, coaxing her to embrace immortality for herself, arguing that it would reunite her with Daon. A flurry of visions unfold as Bitna envisions her union with Daon in matrimony... and then the unexpected occurs. Jaegeol's wife, like a ravenous zombie, awakens with a ferocious leap. Bitna strikes her swiftly, then seizes the kylum from Jaegeol's grasp. In an instant, Bitna plunges a blade into Jaegeol's chest, sending his spirit sprawling across the room.
Satan, who had been imprisoned within the old man's body as part of his elaborate scheme, is liberated, and a fierce battle erupts between him and Bitna. Once again, Bitna emerges victorious, banishing Satan back to Hell.
Meanwhile, Taegyu still draws breath, and the boatman casts him adrift in the middle of the lake. Yet, this is merely a deceptive maneuver, as Daon reveals himself, intent on seeking vengeance. The ugly truth is now unveiled: Seonho never killed Soyeong; it was Taegyu's dark deed. Before her untimely demise, Soyeong inscribed the letter 'J' on the floor and carved into her arm, only prompting Taegyu to brutally dismember it.
Taegyu persists in baiting Daon to slay 'J,' but Daon recalls Soyeong's and Bitna's words of wisdom, deciding instead to ensure Taegyu faces justice in a court of law as the serial killer he is. The boatman, revealed to be Gabriel in disguise, expresses immense pride in Daon's composure and saintly demeanor.
Bitna remains the focal point of town gossip, and the atmosphere in the court is tense. Her role as the presiding judge over Taegyu's case has many on edge. Bitna, who vowed to hold a fair trial, is visited by Bael in her office before the proceedings begin. Bael notes that by banishing Satan, Bitna has atoned for her sins. Moreover, he insists that Taegyu should be released, punished, and sent straight to Hell to endure a grueling demise.
Bitna enters the courtroom and, to everyone's astonishment, declares that there will be no trial at all.
