On the other hand, Cade and Deputy Van inspect the burial sites, suggesting digging the graves the traditional Irish way. Meanwhile, Abby receives a call from Bridgett's school, encouraging her that it's going to be okay. She's only missing the volleyball tournament. Paige is also overwhelmed, but Russell stands by her side.

Lil shares a cup of coffee with Stacy, telling her that she got the cream from Montana. She also informs her that the girls have asked her to book their flight for the next day. Lil explains that they all have lives they need to return to. Stacy agrees and starts visualizing Preston by the river, fishing.

The scene shifts to the burial site. Cade and Van console the family, with Van holding Abby's hand. The bodies are brought near the grave by Kestrel, her daughter, Van's sons, and other neighbors. Swenson asks if they have a preacher, and Lil admits she forgot, so he then prays for them.

Stacy leaves the site as Cade and Van bury the bodies. The family returns to the cabins only to find neighbors preparing meals. Bill narrates how Preston handled issues in the mountains, especially with the authorities.

Elsewhere, Abby thanks Van for helping them handle the burial. She informs him that she'll be leaving later that evening and invites him to New York. However, he says he'd rather miss her. Abby feels like Van is breaking up with her during her father's funeral and angrily walks away.

The family then leaves for New York. In the air, Stacy asks Russell when his father died and what he misses most about him. Russell mentions how his father used to call him every Monday and share a joke. Stacy insists he share it with them, and predictably, she hates it!

Later, Lil notices that it didn't end well with the cowboy, and Paige may find it hard to cope. She also suggests Stacy see a therapist.

Returning to New York, she steps into her home and, as she opens the wardrobe, is flooded with memories of her conversation with Preston. She picks up his shirt and is overcome with sobs. The next day, Stacy visits her therapist, Phil. Phil explains that his job is to help her understand her behaviors and feelings. She erupts in anger, asking him to help her navigate the pain.

Phil explains that she needs to talk, yell, and cry to come to terms with her loss. If she does this, the memories will become less painful and more cherished. He also suggests weighing all her options, even outrageous ones like moving to Europe. He pours her a drink and listens as she talks about what she's going through and possibilities for her future.

In the end, she thanks him and admits the session was cathartic. Phil suggests they meet the next day, but in the afternoon, since she's not a good client to start the day with.

Back at home, Stacy calls Lil, ranting that she can't stay there since she feels and smells Preston everywhere. Their conversation is cut short when Russell calls to inform her that Paige is in bed, crying, and has refused to talk or eat. She arrives at Russell's and asks him to make a chocolate topping.

Abby arrives, carrying the supplies they need. Stacy calms Paige down while Abby brings her favorite dessert mix. Stacy goes downstairs, where Russell is seated, worried. They both go to a nearby bar, leaving Abby and Paige in the house.

At the bar, Stacy enquires about the place's name, and the bartender tells her it doesn't have one. She serves them Irish car bombs, which, at first, makes Russell choke. Stacy asks him about his plans for her daughter and whether they can have a family together. As they discuss their dreams, Russell suggests they both need a fresh start.
