The Manipulated – K-drama Episode 11 1

As expected, one of Yo-han's trademark maneuvers unfolds. Yong-sik's DNA is discovered at the crime scene, and the paper used to send the assemblyman's threatening letters is found in his home. Detective Hwang even threatens to bring Eun-bi into the investigation as a suspect. Meanwhile, Tae-joong visits Yong-sik's residence in search of Eun-bi, promising to resolve the situation.

Back at Yo-han's abode, he completes his 100th sculpture, revealing himself to be Arleli. He has been toying with his clients to gauge their desperation. His nanny suggests he reveal his identity during the auction for the 100th sculpture. Then, a call from Tae-joong offers a chance to fix things. He leads Tae-joong to a phone box containing two objects: the knife that killed the assemblyman and a blank cheque from Yo-han to Tae-joong. Tae-joong is forced to choose between the two.

A flashback takes us to Yong-sik's past. When he gets arrested, he realizes that Eun-bi is being bullied for his actions and tells her to forget about him, saying he's no longer her father. Upon his release from prison, their reunion is strained. However, he overhears her talking to her friend about how much she missed him.

In the present, Eun-bi hires a lawyer who arranges a meeting with her father. He urges her to stay out of the situation, no matter what happens. He later confesses to the crime. Officer Yang realizes he's faking it and informs Detective Hwang, but the detective tells the prison guard to mind his own business.

Tae-joong arrives with the knife and offers his own confession. Yong-sik is released and returns home to Eun-bi, who is furious that he took the blame for something he didn't do. He hugs her and promises never to leave again.

However, Yo-han seems displeased that the police let Yong-sik go. He shows up at the police station himself and asks Tae-joong why he didn't just let Yong-sik take the fall. Tae-joong doesn't give him the satisfaction of an answer. Enraged, Yo-han storms out and calls the prison warden, ordering him to kill Tae-joong.

The following day, as Officer Yang arrives to escort Tae-joong to prison, he poses a question that pierces the heart of his captive's soul: "Have you given up?" Tae-joong, defeated and defeated, admits defeat. In a moment of respite, Yang orders the driver to pull over for a break. When the driver steps out to relieve himself, Yang seizes the opportunity, taking the wheel and driving off into the unknown. He drops Tae-joong off in a desolate location, promising a van will be waiting nearby, before apologizing for his limited ability to do more.

A series of poignant flashbacks reveal Officer Yang's journey to the locker Tae-joong had directed him to, where he discovered incriminating photos of the culprits and a voice recording of Kim Sang-rak, detailing how Yo-han "carves" his victims for various crimes. Desperate for help, Yang turned to the warden but overheard him agreeing to take Tae-joong's life over the phone.

Now, with a rage that burns in his heart, Officer Yang storms into the warden's office and punches him in the face, declaring that he has told all to internal affairs. Meanwhile, Tae-joong reaches the van Yang had mentioned and finds Yong-sik and Eun-bi waiting for him. Together, they assemble tools and decide to take on Yo-han head-on.

The episode concludes with the anticipation of Arleli's 100th sculpture auction, where Yo-han's identity as the artist will be unveiled, setting the stage for an explosive confrontation.
