The Manipulated – K-drama Episode 6 1

As Tae-joong inspects Ji-yong's sports car, a prisoner steals another's vehicle, prompting Gang-jae to realize that there are no rules preventing them from stealing any car. They soon learn that Ji-yong's car is a high-performance sports car and set their sights on it. Tae-joong and Ji-yong take off in their cars, with Deok-su and Gang-jae in hot pursuit. Yo-han watches the prisoners chasing each other but instructs his guards to let them be. After the cars crash, Yo-han orders his people to put an end to the fighting. Unfortunately, Ji-yong's sports car bursts into flames.

The next morning, Tae-joong visits Yo-han in his office overlooking a high tower, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding area. Tae-joong spots a long strip of metal that could serve as a ramp, leading to a road that escapes from the factory. He questions Yo-han's motive, but Yo-han replies it's for fun. That night, Tae-joong works on his car, adding protective armor to ensure he's ready for the race.

In the morning, Tae-joong overhears one of the prisoners bragging about swapping his engine for a turbo engine. Meanwhile, Yo-han reaches out to Gang-jae and accepts his offer, leaving a surprise in his car to make the race even more thrilling.

As the sun sets over the racetrack, the cars roar to life, each vying for the coveted prize: the first driver to complete 20 laps. The man with the formidable turbo engine is the first to falter, his car a fiery inferno before his eyes. Gang-jae and Deok-su, in their relentless pursuit of Tae-joong's vehicle, are stunned to discover Ji-yong within its crumpled frame. It emerges that Tae-joong is in car 11, which has veered off course. Yo-han's drone scours the track, its sensors detecting only emptiness. But Tae-joong, with a mischievous grin, leaps from the wreckage onto a bike, his escape plan unfurling like a well-orchestrated ballet.

At this juncture, Yo-han's memory flashes back to the moment he conspired against Tae-joong. Gang-jae, emboldened by Yo-han's encouragement, gives chase on foot, a present from Yo-han in his hand—a weapon that foreshadows the coming storm. Tae-joong, with a cunning use of a chain and a small cylinder, cripples Gang-jae's tire, bringing his vehicle to a halt. Yo-han announces a twist in the rules: whoever can capture the man on the bike shall win.

The chase turns into a melee, Tae-joong dodging stabs and fending off crashing cars while managing to stay alive. Yo-han emerges with his sniper rifle, aiming for Tae-joong with a cold and calculating precision. Tae-joong, undaunted, rides on his bike, using the gas cylinder to bring down Yo-han's drone like a bird of prey to its prey. With an alpine finesse, he leaps over the ramp that leads to the outer road—his gateway to freedom.

The episode ends with Tae-joong's silhouette as he soars over the ramp, Yo-han's bullets following close behind, painting the evening sky with their crimson hues.
