The opening episode of The Manny season 3 finds Jimena and the children embarking on a new chapter at Gabriel's late uncle's ranch, their hearts filled with the hope that Jimena's legal predicament will swiftly resolve, paving the way for their return to the bustling streets of Guadalajara. A year later, the ranch still echoes with their presence, and Jimena's legal clouds linger stubbornly.

As expected, the kids struggle to adjust, with Sofia fretting that her friends have forgotten her and she doesn't want to miss her graduation ceremony. Santi's band has moved in without him, and the disappointment of not getting into music school weighs heavily on his shoulders. Sofia lashes out in the morning, casting blame at her mom. Gabriel encourages them to give the ranch a chance, and with renewed resolve, they set off into town with Romina.
Meanwhile, Gabriel's excitement over Violeta's visits from Germany grows by the day. Jimena, though not thrilled about the return of the ex, plays it cool. Brenda enlists a new lawyer, Mauricio, who moves forward with her case, and it seems the court is about to drop the case, much to Jimena's relief as she looks forward to resuming her life.
In town, Santi reunites with Chema and his band. They extend an invitation for him to play a gig with them, and he eagerly accepts. However, Sofia worries that joining the band will only make Santi want to stay away longer.
Back at the ranch, Violeta arrives with her toddler, Emma, catching Jimena and Gabriel by surprise. Jimena receives a call about Leo getting into a fight with a boy in town and rushes to the hospital. There, she runs into an old college friend, Melissa, adding another layer of emotional complexity to an already turbulent situation.
Melissa, a keen journalist, has arrived in town to chronicle the mayoral election. However, her son's altercation with Leo has stolen the headlines. Jimena, with a swift apology, offers to shoulder the medical bills. In the background, Gabriel and Violeta dive into their work with renewed energy. Violeta confesses her joy in being a mother, while Gabriel muses over his plans to propose to Jimena and perhaps start a family of their own. As he confides in Violeta, an epiphany dawns upon him.
Back in town, Sofia blames Leo's outburst on his absence from home. Once they return, Jimena casually mentions her aversion to having more children. In the evening, Gabriel checks on Leo after a tense encounter with Jimena. Leo expresses his eagerness to meet Aurora, his little sister.
The next morning, Regina and Romina rope Jimena into a new venture that caters to the local women. Jimena dives right in and starts working on a proposal to promote local products with enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, Sofia's concerns grow fonder as Santi falls for Mariana, a local girl. She fears he may not want to return to Guadalajara. Gabriel spends more time helping Violeta with Emma and shares his excitement about the new business with Jimena on their first anniversary. Little does he know, Sofia overhears their conversation.
The next day, Mauricio calls Jimena to discuss the new venture. Later, she meets with Romina, excitedly sharing her new plans. Romina feels overwhelmed and reveals that Gabriel was the mastermind behind it all. Though slightly disappointed, Jimena reassures Gabriel that she is at the ranch because she loves him.
To help Leo, Gabriel gifts him a camera so he can capture Aurora's pictures for her. Santi promises to leave with Sofia after his performance at the escaramuza.
After their conversation, Gabriel confides in Violeta about his relationship insecurities. Meanwhile, on the other side of the house, Romina senses impending trouble when Gabriel's photo frame shatters into pieces. She senses a storm brewing and decides to gift Jimena an obsidian stone to help her weather the incoming tempest. At the escaramuza, Jimena collides with Melissa once again and introduces her to Gabriel. Melissa extends an invitation for Jimena to share her story, but she politely declines. Everyone else, except for Sofia, revels in the festivities. Gabriel tries to reach out to Sofia, but her absence is palpable as she leaves for Guadalajara to stay with her father.
Back at the ranch, Regina cautions Violeta against harboring romantic hopes for Gabriel's return. Violeta confesses that she recently ended her relationship with her German boyfriend. In the room, Jimena plays with Emma while Gabriel changes her diaper. As he does so, his gaze falls upon the moon birthmark on Emma's skin and a fleeting thought crosses his mind: could she be his daughter?
